I use this rope for boot laces.it is perfect size: 1/8 inch in diameter, cut your your own custom lengths. Extremely durable good looking and very economical when compared to store bought laces. I was always replacing cheap poor quality laces or very expensive laces for a little better quality. I don't have to do this any more do to the attributes of starter rope it won't stretch, fray, break (600-800 lbs. before breaking I forget). Tight weave does not collect dust, sand or dirt preventing the eyelets from getting sawn through. It is little harder to draw the laces tight but remember you cannot break them (At least I can't.) and they stay in position better than regular dedicated shoe laces. If you tired of dealing with all the irritating fails and costs of normal of boot laces try making your own from Stens starter rope.Why Stens personal taste I like the more substantial feel and the other manufacturers generally only offer white i don't want my boots to look like cheap tennis shoes.
