Great model for beginners
This model is state of the art. It has stunning detail even with a full interior with engine and cockpit. Have done only a few models before and was easy to assemble. Good for modeler's who do not have lots and lots of experience recommend this personally note use multiple coats of paint for high quality. Did not take long to build only 1-2 days. Tamiya is a great brand and makes revell look bad recommend to tap (add to list) before out of stock

Older kit, but pretty good.
As I've come to expect from Tamiya kits, this was easy and fun to build. The one thing that stood out for me was the panel lines, some of which were engraved, others were raised. (I would've preferred them all to be engraved.) The ground crew figures are the same as the ones in a kit I built earlier, which is fine (though it would be nice if different heights and positions would've been included). Overall, for an older kit, it's pretty good, and a nice addition to my collection of Zeros.

A great little, unassembled model kit. Perfect for both beginning or advanced model builders.
That's kit is a great little, unassembled model kit. Would be excellent for new builders or even more experienced modelers that enjoy a good platform to work from. Interior detail is very spartan, but that can be easily modified to add a bit of extra detail. Plastic is of good quality and takes glue nicely. Model kit has subtle surface detail with both raised and recessed panel lines. A nice model kit, that builds up well.

Everything was well made and my son had a good time putting it together
I purchased this model airplane for my 10 y/o son who loves putting models together. This product was well priced and well made; it took a little longer than expected (about 2 weeks) to arrive because it was shipped from Japan. Everything was well made and my son had a good time putting it together. The only issue he has with it is that the red decals discolored with touch and came off. He can't play with it to prevent further damage so it sits on the shelf and he enjoys looking at it.

Really fun one!!
Another fantastic Tamiya kit! It's pretty simple if you don't add all the engine detail described in the instructions, but it's all very well explained. With this one I went matte white with black engine cowling and gloss blue secondary color, I know...I know.. Not aunthetic but who cares, it looks cool and yes you can get water decals to stick to matte paint... ..You just gotta know how!!

Nice Kit
This is a really nice kit ... which is no surprise as it's a Tamiya. It's as accurate as I can tell (I'm not a rivet counter and I don't measure them for perfect scale) but it seems right. It has the squared wing tips. Cool, but not strictly the "classic" version.I really have no complaints, especially considering the price! If you want more detail, get the Hasegawa kit - also a great kit.

I miss monogram
I guess this is what model builders get now... insert "raspberry" noise

Not a toy
I am not an experienced modeler. I tried building plastic models as a teenager more than twenty years ago but I remember being frustrated and disappointed because I couldn't make the model look as good as the picture on the box. I had no skills or patience for this hobby. After getting into Gundam snap-fit models a few months ago I got the urge to try a glue and paint model. This is a very simple model. It only has three runners of parts and the instruction manual is one sheet with only ten steps in the assembly. As with most aircraft models, assembly starts with the cockpit. Painting of small details in the tiny cockpit is necessary and putting on the decals for the instrument panels was difficult. I am hoping that my sloppy and inept painting of the cockpit will be hidden by the closed canopy. I will be applying tamiya surface primer before spray painting the fuselage and wings. I have a lot to learn but so far putting this kit together has been a good learning experience. I would recommend this kit for beginners.
