Just the piece I needed and saved me getting a plumber out, job done for just a few pounds. Easy for me to install.

We ordered one of these to replace an existing rusting basin popup rod. Though the existing rod had a slightly smaller plastic ball. You wouldn't think that would make a difference but it did. The solution I believe is to sell this rod with the matching plastic washer to which the plastic ball butts up against and charge a little more. That way, you can replace both the rod and the plastic washer and your problem will be fixed. The other, not so good solution is to file down the existing plastic washer to let it sit further on to the plastic ball. But if you file too much, you'll probably need to buy the kit that includes both the washer and the popup waste rod (also available from Amazon).

WELL THE ROD WAS THE RIGHT SIZE BUT THE WHITE PLASTIC BALL WAS TO BIG AS IT WOULD NOT FIT AS THE THE ORIGINAL WAS SMALLER SO IT DID NOT WORK

The product was delivered on time and in good condition. However the nylon ball which forms the fulcrum of the mechanism shown in the picture was too large for the receptacle on the waste unit of my bathroom sink. I assumed this would be a universal size. I had not checked earlier reviews prior to purchase and I have subsequently noticed this problem has been highlighted on a previous rating. It would be helpful if more information was was given in the product description. For information the diameter of the nylon ball on the product I received was 14mm (I needed a diameter of 12mm).

The product supplied was the wrong size. FNX bathrooms do not reply to correspondence to enable me to obtain the correct part.
