Still going strong after five summers!
I put this up again today, for the 5th year running - so I thought that I really should leave a review as it has been such a great buy. It's certainly proved value for money and makes all the difference to the comfort of my house in summer - It keeps my small patio usable right through the hottest summer days and also shields my (SE facing) kitchen window and back door from the sun in the late morning which keeps my whole house cooler. The saving in electricity from the otherwise stressed out fridge and freezer has probably paid for the sail.I store the sail folded in my garage over the winter and bring it out once the sun starts to get too hot for comfort in late spring each year. The galvanised fittings (bought elsewhere) just stay in place all year round, so it only takes about 20 minutes to put up or take down.My key tip for installation is to use at least 3 turnbuckles (on a rectangular sail) - the 4th mounting point doesn't need to be adjustable as long as the other three are.You then need to hook up the sail to your 4 fixing points, which should be positioned so that even with the turnbuckles fully extended there is very little slack in the sail. Now tighten up the turnbuckles so that the sail is drum tight and has no wrinkles in it (this is where you need three adjustment points, in order to pull out wrinkles in any axis). If there is the slightest slack in the sail then it will collect rainwater, which will make it sag (and then collect even more rain). Obviously the sail should also be fixed at a slight angle to allow rain to run off easily.I nearly always find that my initial fitting isn't quite tight enough and that the first time it rains some water collects at the lowest edge. I'll then tighten it up a bit more and that'll then be fine for the rest of the season. Can't recommend it enough - it has allowed me to enjoy sitting in my garden on many more days than I would otherwise be able to and the comfort inside my house on hot summer days is also much improved.I would buy another identical one straight away if this one ever wears out.

Good quality
Although I did have to send this item back, I must say it does what it's ment to do. It's good quality material! It covers a wide areas and its exactly as described.I had to send this item back as it was too big for what I wanted, the seller had good contact and was returned without issues. If you want something to cover the area as described I would defo buy this item! The colour is amazing too!!

Happy with my purchase now that I've adapted it
For the price this canopy is fine and does the job. I've fixed in to the house one end and to timber posts at the front. The fabric stretches and then after the first few months the centre was hanging low so I fixed some centre points as shown in the pics. This allows me to keep the fabric taught. Don't leave out in the rain or it fills up with water and will stretch even more. I didn't want to spend alot and this does the job and keeps the heat off my South facing terrace on those hot days.

Excellent product
I would highly recommend this shade sail. We've had it up for around a month. It's taken a hammering from wind and rain (we live near the coast) but it's held up fine. Does a great job of casting shade and is seemingly waterproof as you can sit under it on rainy days without a drop penetrating. Also for anyone else putting one of these up I would recommend buying 10mm nylon rope. Don't buy it off here as you can get it very cheap at b&q. The rope that comes with it is only adequate if you're able to put your posts/fixings in close proximity to the sail.

That's pretty super-XXL pair of bikini waiting for some bird dropping stains
Seems ok but the photos are misleading because they do not expose the fact that the 3.6m triangle shade is made of two pieces of materiel, making it look exactly like a pair of bikini. None of the photos show this fact, which is why I gave only 3 stars: photo is not really what you get.Other than this there other info that you will discover after you order it: you need to mount it at 30 degrees in order to avoid retaining water. For a 3.6m one this means that one side must be ~1.6m above the lower corner. Again none of the photos show this, is like they mounted in a place where there is no rain. Overall is ok-ish as it wasn't too expensive. If I would last 3 years i would really be surprised. Mine already received some nasty bird drops and taking it down is not easy as it is tensioned.

Great product.
Just installed my cream 4m x 4m shade sail from Greenbay and I'm impressed. It arrived earlier than expected and went up easily with no issues. The polyester fabric is light and strong with all the stitching of a good standard. Stainless steel D rings on the corners welded for full strength. It does have a seam in the middle but that's not an issue for me. I used a sail fixing kit which I believe is necessary to achieve the right tension on the sail shade for rain run off. The cream allows plenty of light through and doesn't create a dark area while still shading from the strong sun. I love it!
