This thing is great!
I'm working on a 30+ old truck with some damage to the rear quarter panel and almost no auto body experience. I've done my share of reading and research, but I figured it was time to get some actual experience. I've thought about replacing the entire bed, but before I did that I thought I would at least give body work a try and get some experience. I started with a stud puller and it caused more issues than it fixed. When I did a little bit of research, I found great reviews about this device. Skeptical, I ordered it knowing I would put it to use right away and return it if it didn't work. I rarely give out 5 stars, but after using this for a day or two even someone as inexperienced as me could see the significant progress I was making. The precision on where you can put the weld to pull is amazing. The accessories that come with it are plenty to get you started immediately on your project. I bought extra parts just in case, but I'm a long way from needing it. I would recommend getting Martin's - The Key to Metal Bumping (Frank T. Sargent) book if you are just starting out to get better results and watching a couple of YouTube videos on the device before getting started (the instructions are okay but are better if you see them in action). There is still a lot of learning and experience, but this definitely makes it more enjoyable and gives me more confidence to do body work and I no longer think a bed replacement will be necessary.*Note: Amazon did not ship this device because it goes through a third party. Mine was shipped through FedEx and they delivered it to the wrong house about 4 houses away and insisted that they delivered it and didn't do anything about it (no follow-up at all, except to send me pictures of the package delivered to the wrong house). This is just an FYI and the package weighs somewhere around 50lbs, so if ends up a distance from your house be prepared. Again, not Amazon or the seller's fault. I included this at the end because I didn't want to take away from the actual review, but include it as information in case it happens to someone else. Both Amazon and the seller were quick to respond, unfortunately all three of us could not get FedEx to investigate the issue.

Amazing product!!
This is a high quality machine worth every penny spent. I had a project that I put off for a while because I could not find a machine that could handle the work needed. FINALLY I tried this product and it worked like magic. It perfectly pulled out all dents.

Has a 2pg. User manual! Don’t buy
Looks like its a quality build compared to my previous stud gun dent puller investment that broke the first time using it.Besides the look and feel I can’t say how it works because user manual is 1 double sided page. So I’ll assume i’ve again thrown money into toilet, either paper copy or on online, information that contains the typical how to use attachments basic maintenance or even a phone number for more info!

It works. But it’s so darn heavy!
I’m a body guy so I’ve already used this to do an entire car which as about 50 dings and dents.I even used the heat tips to shrink metal. So far it does have enough pulling power for about 20 or thinner gauge metal. So works better on later model cars but can work in classic if keeping your area and tips clean.Just needs to be in heat #9 levelYou also need a car you can roll this around in that is at level if your work because the ground cable and wand cable are really too short.I didn’t use it on 220 ans I’m not sure it will have more heat. It didn’t trip my breaker even when I turned it all the way up.I’d probably buy it again as the stud gun they sell takes way more time then this. Fast and easy.I must say I do like it for small dents and dings.

Have to get used to it.
At first, I had an issue with the ground prong attaching well enough. After experimenting with it that problem was resolved. The device takes a little time to get used to. I'm not certain how well it will work with the heavier steel areas but once you get the technique correct it has done great so far! I will say that using the higher settings didn't make the electrode stick as well as staying within the lower end of the recommended settings. Start out lower and work up to the higher settings. Clean the metal thoroughly and clean any carbon buildup off of the electrode tips to get the best results.I'll update after I've had time to use it for a while.

Not suitable for high production shops
I purchased this tool to use in a high volume collision repair center. The machine works as described, but there is certainly room for some improvements.1. Works best on the thinnest HSS panels2. Does not work on Aluminum panels3. Ground design is lacking...the cable is very short and machine must be within 24 inches of the work...you are SOL if the dent is on the top of the car.4. Duty cycle is dismally low... expect less than 10% at 80 degrees Fahrenheit...expect less than 5% above 90 degrees
