Safari Ltd. Forest Dragon Figurine - Detailed 6" Plastic Model Figure - Mythical Creature Toy for Boys, Girls & Kids Ages 4+

I have been pleasantly delighted by my purchase of the forest green dragon figurine by Safari Ltd. Over the past several days that I've had it, I've found myself repeatedly picking it up just to admire its detail and coloration. Whoever designed it took evident pains to ensure it appears as realistic as possible, and the detail is pretty nice. You can spend far more and only get a slightly better results. It is hard plastic (the wings are softer, though still quite resilient) and should stand up to considerable wear in use as a toy.That said, I can find some slight faults with it. Namely the paint job, while very good, did leave a few scales lesser-done, but these take away only very slightly from the overall effect. The molded name could have been better placed on the belly, or perhaps an inside hind leg rather than the much more visible wing. it is not as apparent on this model as some others, and again detracts only slightly from the quality of the figure. Both defects are, in my mind, readily forgiveable, though I understand for those who do roleplay or certain board games and use this as a piece, find the logo to be a little more distracting. I do neither, it is an ornament piece only for me.Overall, as a dragon lover I am well pleased with this and happily recommend it. Am looking to maybe give it a playmate in due course. It will be on my desk for quite a few years to come.

Safari Ltd really makes nice plastic figurines, I've seen them in many stores and have admired their quality and detail. This dragon is no exception! I bought this for my daughter for xmas as she loves dragons and is often quite choosy about how they look. I know she will adore this one. It's a really nicely detailed model with an expressive face and lovely scaling, and the paint job is exceptional. Nothing is misaligned or smudged or missed, and the shiny green paint looks fantastic. The dragon is a nice size, perfect for playing with or putting on a shelf to look at, it will be a fine addition to her Playmobil and LEGO menagerie, amongst other things. While not heavy, this casting is sturdy and I think it will last a long time without falling apart.

Grandsons 2,3,4,5 are into dragons and they love this one. Well made. Nice colors and size.

I am a huge dragon fanatic. I love collecting all sorts of dragon related items. So when I saw this, I knew I had to purchase it. Now when I first received the dragon, I found it to be a darker shade of green instead of the bright green color that the picture led me to believe. It was also a tad smaller than I expected, but that was not really a big deal. Moving on! The detail and design on this dragon is superb! From it's head all the way down to the tip of it's tail, it's just fantastic! This dragon also has beautiful golden eyes that I have never seen before on a figure. But, unfortunately, there is one flaw that sort of irks me. The company logo is printed largely on one of the dragon's wings. While it's not a crippling issue, you think they could have just put it on the underside of one of the dragon's feet instead. But either way this is an excellent purchase! If you like dragons just as much as I do, you will definitely love this item! Also. If you are intending to use it as a toy I think it's durable enough for that sort of thing. Just be gentle with the wings.

I loved the look of this dragon. I was the slightest bit disappointed when I received it because there are some flaws with the paint, but they are tiny and yes it is hand painted, but I’m assuming in a shop in China, since it (unfortunately) bears the “Made in China” brand. My biggest complaint would be the price: It is a bit high. I waited a little while and it went down to $16. After I ordered, it went down more- I should have waited to order. Oh well. Its not as expensive as some others and overall, is a very neat looking dragon.

I've been looking for less-expensive miniatures to use in roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons. I decided to take a chance on this dragon figure to see how well-suited for the task it was. I was very pleasantly surprised by it when it arrived. Miniatures for roleplaying games are generally in the 1/72 or 25mm/28mm scales, and this dragon fits very well with figures of those dimensions. In comparison to a human-sized figure of those scales, it is impressively large, probably (in game terms) in the Huge size range. The sculpt is dynamic and ferocious. The paint job is really well-done; the green paint has a slightly iridescent quality to it, and the details are meticulously executed. The pose also makes it pretty stable. The only down side to the figure, and it's not much of one, is that the wings are very soft and flexible. This would only be a concern if the figure is given as a toy to a child, because the wings would likely not survive too much rough handling. Overall, this figure would fit in quite well in a RPG mini collection; in comparison to similar plastic miniatures designed specifically for those games, it is more affordable, and at least as well-made.

This was a gift for a 9-year old who is really into dragons. He was very excited to receive this gift and seemed like he liked it better than most of his other gifts.It was just given to him so I cannot speak to durability but being made out of flexible material that seems to easily bend and not break from an initial inspection, it should be fine.And if you are into dragons yourself, it can make a nice decoration as well. Just keep it away from pets as nowhere on the seller's page, description or packaging indicates that it is safe for a pet's toy.
