I love these books, they came recommended and I'm now hooked. Print is good, font size good. Lovely to have a series and excellent price.

The complete set good vakue

I ordered these books because I had read them several years ago and felt that they addressed early human life and culture so well. I was eager to read them again to remind myself of the plot, characterisation and the differences between Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon's lifestyles.The books arrived in excellent condition and the price of the six books was very reasonable.For those of you who are interested in the way early man lived, hunted, developed as a social unit and their belief systems, these are an amazing read. Jean Auel can be praised for her extensive research and the respect she has gained from anthropologists.I would certainly recommend reading the first three books and although the other books can be a little repetitious the storylines are quite interesting.

I have read this series several times over. As each new book became available, I would start from the first book again. I have to admit that the final book could have been left out because, for me, it was less interesting, being mainly descriptions of various painted caves in the region of what is now southern France. Some are probably imaginary though others are real but possibly embellished in places. Unfortunately, I found that final book almost boring which somewhat spoiled the overall brilliance of the rest. I only bought this set so all the covers would have the same style.

Great quality - plastic wrapped so no damage at all from being in a warehouse. And of course the story itself is a true epic. I think this is my third reading, and would be higher if I’d had my own copies sooner. The research that was put into these books astounds me every time I read them.
