The case seems ever so slightly too small. It bends the swing arm of the projector when in place. Should I be concerned about this?

Which version of projector do you have? I originally had the M1+ which fitted perfectly into this case, after having it for about a year it was exchanged for a new projector under warranty. My new projector is an M1+ -2, a slightly upgraded version which doesn’t fit into the case quite as snuggly as the previous one. It sounds like you have version 2
