I purchased this product because I am a teacher and we take our 8th grade students to Washington DC every June. We collect their phones at night (so they go to sleep!) and charge them for the next day. I was able to charge all 8 of my students phones at once, and only tie up one outlet. Just plug it in and there are 8 USB connections available. The other teachers were jealous - I think they will be purchasing one for next year's trip! This will also be handy when I go to Ireland later this year with my family. We can plug all our devices in at once to a single outlet. That is a big deal when every outlet will need a converter

This is a quality product. It was more solid & well-made than I expected, but not huge. It has a grounded 3-prong, heavy electrical cord to plug into your wall socket or power strip. Everything about this unit is top notch. First try, I plugged in my phone, two rechargeable light strips and my Fitbit Versa. Everything charged great. I like that it isn't too big but has so many slots. Perfect for someone with lots of things to charge, or a big family! I'd buy it again

I am too old to grovel for floor-level outlets, to keep track of so many adapters. This USB charger is on my dresser where every night I can charge my spouse's and my cameras, telephones, even glucose meters [very important]. One standard outlet [in North America] can charge 8 USB devices at a comfortable height -- desk, dresser, kitchen counter, table, etc. This charger is small enough to fit in any overnight bag or luggage, too. Because it is white, dust is not apparent like it is on so many black electronics.On the day that this arrived, I ordered another for an adult relative; the charger was received with joy. Gift ideas for anniversaries, birthdays, graduation -- no searching for useful gifts for a year or two, and Amazon will deliver. The charger's cardboard box is very sturdy; save and re-use it for small gifts.One modification would change 5 stars to a very special 10 -- an in-line switch to turn the power off when it is not in use, so that it would not need to be unplugged when it is not charging all those electronics.

The good thing about this device is it has 8 USB ports (4 low amps and 4 high amps) are great for vacation without carrying multiple plugs and hoping the place you stay at has built in USB outlets, etc.What it lacks is an on/off switch (not a huge deal) and is a bit heavy. I see it as a valuable item to take on vacations instead of sharing one wall plug with several devices (phones, tablets, camera batteries, etc.) We found that out with our most recent vacation in Maui as I brought my plug but my wife didn't bring any - we had two phones, a Kindle, an iPad, GoPro batteries, a Bluetooth earpiece, and probably a couple more I am forgetting about.

very compact, I used double sided tape and put it above a corner shelf and now it's our charging station, I appreciate the green light on it, it helps me to know that it is still on, we like turning it off when not in use

I use this at home where my spouse and I both sit and charge our phones, tablets, Bluetooth devices and computers. It works great and helped get rid of the confusion of charging adapters and tangling cords, extention cords and bulky power port devices. Now just a clean area with one cord plugged into wall outlet and plenty of room for all usb cords to be inserted. Charges each device as well as it would if the device were plugged in by itself. Love this compact 8 port usb charger. Got an extra as a gift for my daughters family.

This is the third one we have bought because they just work so well and are so convenient. Between my wife and two kids I can’t even count how many things we need to recharge. Phones, tablets, e-readers, remote control cars, drones, robots... its insane. These make setting up charging stations a breeze. Taking this on trips is also great. All the family can use one outlet to charge everything while waiting for flights, and again in the hotel. The cord is also long enough you can string it from outlets behind the bed and put these in bed-side stands.

Fantastic source for the Medusa-esque tangle of charging cords that some how rule my life now. I'm very pleased with the charger, if you have the cords, it has the juice! I just hope your cords aren't as perpetually tangled as mine
