Amazing
It’s my first overlocker and im really happy with it. I was looking long time for five thread overlocker and this is exactly what I wanted. It has endless options for home use. Obviously getting to know it takes time but it works so easily and quietly compare to my sewing machineCan’t suggest it enough ❤️

Very hard to thread
This is the first coverstitch machine, I have purchased for this amount of money and found it hard to thread. The lower loopers and the colour code points are not that clear either, which is supposed to help, such a bad designI have experience in all types of machinery for the construction of clothing and this has been the worst ive come across. I felt spending more money meant better quality. The name Bernette is a cousin to my first ever Bernina sewing machine and I believed in the brand since the age of 12 so dissappointed with the bernette coverstitch. THought it was what I wanted. in the process of trying o thread this machine i've lossed the screw, as i had to take the plate off, this has been very stressful. I took out insurance and hope that i will get a refund on this, especially if they cannot send another screw out to me.I really hope this can be resolved in some way.

It was good quality but was a bit complicated so I had to return it back
Too complicated to thread the machine

Love it!
I managed to get this overlocker on an Amazon Warehouse Deal - the box was slightly dinked (which I was expecting) and the machine came as new. Everything is in great working order, thought I haven't tried the coverstitch mode yet.

Disappointing
Bought this with great excitement that it could offer me overlocking and cover stitch options in one reputable brand.Disappointed in how basic the instruction book was, no dvd or online help other than YouTube videos that covered several models as well as this one. But I cracked it after a lot of effort. I was going well for the first two weeks when suddenly it stopped making chains. I lost count of how many times I cleaned it, rethreaded it, re-rethreaded cleaned it again threaded it again ..... Eventually I had to give up and go back for help. The vendor did not reply to my help request but Amazon agreed to take it back for a full refund. Fantastic service. Shame the vendor wasn't there as they should have been.

Badly designed machine
Really difficult to make it work even when threaded properly. It needs many attempts. Tiny space around needles, for your hands. Feedly to adjust the tensions. Brakes the threads. I'v never disliked any overlocker so much and I have 25 years of sewing experience.I just wish that Elna 740 was still on the market (bought it twice), and that I didn't waste money and time on this terrible piece of work.

Space saver and works well
So far I love this machine. I recommend it if you sew a lot of knit items but don't have enough space for 3 machines (sewing machine, overlocker and a coverstitch). Threading is easy if you're already comfortable with threading an overlocker. It's the same pattern of upper then lower loops then the needles. The machine comes with a dust cover and and accessory box with an extra blade in it which is lovely. The machine is heavy which I like because it feels really sturdy. The cover that opens up holds, tweezers, extra needles, a needle holder, the special screwdriver which is needed to change needles, the upper looper converter and a brush to clean the machine. It's all very conveniently stored.I also think the machine is labelled well. The manual is helpful and easy to understand even with some of its typos. There's also a knife guard for when you are using it as an overlocker than there's a piece you can swap out for cover stitch mode.
