Affordable Art
It's been ONE YEAR since we purchased this sculpture and put it together. Though the weather has taken a little of it's lustrous glow down to a slight tarnish (but not rusted), it's still beautiful. And note, we have not attempted to clean it in any way. This particular model, which is top heavy (the pieces pile on top of each other) doesn't spin as freely as the centric models, with the wheel shape. We also have one of those, and it's constantly spinning. However... this model is so beautiful we don't mind - it's always a pleasure to look at. And when a direct wind hits it - the whole thing spins prettily and is very fun to watch. The weather in mid-NC has not damaged this sculpture at all. It's stable against high winds (only fell over once, with a hurricane) and easy to put back together if it does fall over. The pieces are quite heavy, so they don't go far should fall. I highly recommend this product. I've been very happy with our two sculptures.

Really nice unique top quality wind spinner
I have four spinners in an acre property. I can see this one from our kitchen/family room. This is made of copper and I expect it to tarnish like a penny. I could spray with a clear finish or I could polish in the future. It will tarnish. The quality is excellent and I cool to watch when the wind blows. The metal will condense water and freeze. This will freeze the spinner form spinning or turning. Spray it with a White Lithium Grease and you will be set. I sprayed mine and it came alive. Mine has spun ever since. I will likely spray it every once in a while - as I will do with all of the spinners. This spinner takes more wind to make it spin than ones that look like a fan blade or ones with palm size cups. The trade off is the unusual design and how it looks when it spins.Be careful driving it in to the soil. I nearly ruined threads doing so. The instructions want you to drive the pole deep into the ground. Then three adapters attach for stabilization. I do not like this set up. My other spinners have a welded spike next to the pole with an area that you can push your foot against. These adapters are meant to be similar, but I doubt the effectiveness. I strapped a piece of plastic pipe to a wooden fence post and slid the pole inside of it. I could have mounted the brass pole on the post, but I wanted more height (put sticks inside pipe so pole would rest higher) - remember, i wanted to see it from inside my house.I like this spinner and give it five stars for uniqueness. My copper spinner that has multiple 2 inch fan blades is my favorite.

This is my favorite wind spinner!
Below is the review I just wrote for Stanwood's Octupus design wind spinner. These comments hold true for this one as well (which I also own) and I would add that although this wind spinner looks complex, it is easy to assemble. It also has an optical illusion effect that makes it appear to change directions while it is spinning. I would have to say of the six that I own, this one is my favorite! We have a total of 6 of these wonderful spinners! Two of them we have had for about 2 years, the other four we just splurged and bought about a month ago. These wind spinners are high quality and hold up in high winds (we have seen them do just fine with 50 mph winds all day long.) We have painted them all with clear coat, and they hold their beautiful copper shine. They don't squeak or hang up, and they are well balanced. I am proud to say I now have all of Stanwood's wind spinner designs, and if they come out with any others, I'll be first in line to purchase!

Worth the Investment!
The media could not be loaded. Beautiful piece of art for your yard. I did a video comparing this figure 8 tumbler to two other wind spinners I’ve had for 4 years. You can see that there is no comparison, these were not cheap spinners either, but you can see they haven’t held up well. This piece is so sensational in person, the video doesn’t do it Justice.Make the investment! I was surprised at myself for spending this much on one piece, but once I saw how beautiful it is, I have ordered two more designs from this company! LOVE IT!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very nice build quality - Opportunity for improvement
The media could not be loaded. The build quality and materials are great, and its a beautiful piece of kinetic art but...installation could be better:I found that to get it sturdy enough so that it would not wobble (its top heavy) I had to drive a larger diameter steel pipe into the ground first deep (down about 2 feet) and then drive the provided copper pipe into the middle of the larger pipe and screw it into place to keep it plumb. Now its perfect, and spins in even the slightest of a breeze. If this was installed with only the provided copper pipe and stakes I can see where it would blow over or lean and then get off balance never working as intended.

No warranty.
Do not buy from this vendor. We installed this about 45 days ago, and it turned black the first week. The bearings are defective and customer service will not replace them. They said that they don’t have any left. When I ask about the lifetime warranty that refused to answer. Amazon should remove this vendor immediately.

Very well made and looks amazing
This wind sculpture was a wonderful addition to our yard décor. It only took about 30 mins to assemble and the instructions were very easy follow. Given the weight it will take a bit of a breeze to get it to spin, but I absolutely love how it looks. I ended-up adding a little bit of lithium grease to the bearing and shaft to assist with movement in the breeze so will see if that helps. I’m very happy with my purchase.

REAL QUALITY
I purchased 3 of these for a grouping at the entrance of my property. They are absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship is spot on. Hike a lot around the Zion National park and the little town I stay in which is right outside the park has these all down the strip by a local artist. These have that same quality but half the price. Would most definitely recommend these.
