HP Elite 7900 Desktop PC Package, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 8GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive, DVD-RW, Wi-Fi, Windows 10, 19in LCD Monitor (Renewed)

I purchased this computer from United PC Tec. They sent my computer by overnight shipping, but delivery was free. I received one day after placing my order. I was surprised and grateful. I expected to receive it in 5 days, at the least. This company includes their customer service support number as well as their email address and encourage calls if there are any issues. I emailed them with a question and they responded promptly. I ordered this computer because, after January 20th, Microsoft is no longer going to support Windows 7, and because my old refurbished computer was running very slow. I like hp computers and I have a hp printer already.When I saw this one at the low price, I ordered it and I'm glad I did. This computer comes with a 19" Dell monitor. It's a square monitor, and it appears just as big as the 22" rectangular shaped monitor i had. The monitor's base sits up higher than the hp monitor, and is extremely sturdy. It has a wired mouse and a little keyboard. It's a small, no excess keyboard. The keyboard and mouse are new. The monitor and computer look new. They are no scratches or dents This has built in speaker....no need for external speakers, but external speaker can be used. The internal speaker's volume doesn't get loud even at full capacity.This computer runs much faster than the old refurbished computer I'm replacing. Windows 10 is installed on this one.. Windows 10 is a simple operating system. It comes with voice controlled Cortana. Alexa can also be installed on Windows 10.The start screen is different. It's in color. The calendar is listed there. The recent items you used are still listed, games are listed, but basically you just use the search bar for whatever searching for. ( For instance, if looking for the control panel.....you need to type control panel in the search bar. It is not listed in on the start menu.) Your documents aren't listed either. They have a separate icon on the task bar. This was easy to set up. I just answered a few Window's questions. Entered in my product number and it was ready to go. Chrome and Firefox are already installed on it. United PC has placed the product number on the computer using a sticker. You won't have to search for it. The computer was packaged securely for shipment. .I like having a desktop. I paid 130. for this and I couldn't be more pleased with the computer and the price. I mean the monitor alone looks like it should cost 130. It's really solid....better than the hp monitor I had. This one is not going to accidentally topple over. The screen is clearer, too. When we purchased a desktop computer in 2000. We paid over 1200. for the computer alone. It was customized with a lot of stuff we didn't need or use. This is perfect for us. I ordered 2 of these PC bundles, about 2 weeks apart. The first computer was for my brother, the second for my husband. Based on reviews I read here, I found that Sunset Micro had the best seller reviews among the vendors selling in my price range. Both computers came very well packaged, and they were clean. There are a few cosmetic blemishes, but nothing that's overly noticeable. We already had mice from previous computers, so I can't speak to the mouse in this bundle. The keyboard that came with my husband's computer was brand new in the box, and it works well.The DVD-RW drive in my brother's computer wasn't reading discs, so I contacted Sunset Micro's customer support. They gave me their phone number to call, and I passed the information to my brother who made the call himself. He said the lady he spoke to was very nice, and she said that they'd send out a replacement drive right away. The replacement drive arrived today (one week from the date of the call to support). My brother swapped the non-working drive with the replacement, and he said it works fine.You won't be able to play the newer graphics-heavy games without a separate graphics card, but for older PC games (my husband plays City of Heroes in 32-bit mode), I think it's just fine. For everyday computing and internet usage, this computer is great.Overall, I feel I got a great deal for my money. These computers *are* refurbished/renewed, so don't expect perfection. Definitely research the vendors selling this bundle and check out their ratings. It's worth spending a few dollars more for excellent customer service.

Edit AGAIN:Seller shipped me a new hard drive for this machine, and it's doing the same thing as before. Freezing within a couple hours of startup. Either the CPU or the motherboard is bad.I realize it's been quite some time since my purchase, but when you sell a computer, your customers expect it to actually work.EDIT - After fewer than 4 days of use, I'm changing my review for now pending seller response. Turns out the hard drive is faulty. The machine has suffered near constant catastrophic freezing requiring hard reboots, and now won't boot past the BIOS screen. Hardware Diagnostics indicates Long DST failure.************Hey, I couldn't have built this machine for the money I spent here. Great value for the money, perfect machine to get my small son set up with educational programs and homeschooling. Everything you need (except speakers) comes in the box, plug & play ready.

I am very happy with this product. Doesn't look like new but for the price I paid I didn't expect it to and it doesn't look bad, just doesn't have that fresh out of the box look. The main issue for me was how it works and it so far has worked fine. There are a few quirks that might bother some people but again for the price compared to a new one, hey I can live with it. Their customer support was very helpful and if someone had an issue with theirs, I feel that they would repair or replace it. My issues are minor and I didn't want to hassle with shipping it back and waiting. Its biggest quirk is that if you allow it to go to sleep when you wake it up, the log in page comes up on the screen but its frozen. Your only option is to turn off the computer manually then restart it. If I know I am going to be away from the computer for any length of time I simply turn it off.
