Perfect
These are so sturdy and easy to grip to flip on the grill. They are also thicker than other skewers I've found in stores. The nice case helps to store them too.

Got some good and bad
The good: they're long and the metal is very sturdy (which was my main concern buying them.) They are metal and so they conduct the heat well for heating the inside where you skewer the meat. Honestly, they're basically what I expected and found them to be skewers I would get again. It's nice to just flip them halfway through compared to the cheap metal skewers that are small or hard to flip. The bad: The metal did char pretty dark the first time I cooked with them - understandable. The handle is wooden so if you baste your kebabs, be careful that the flame doesn't light it on fire - requires constant supervision. The biggest thing, the point is actually very sharp (and sturdy) which is great for skewering a chunk of meat, but I also cut two of my fingers putting meat I had marinated. You have to be careful holding the meat and really make sure that your fingers aren't in the way of them. The best way I found to put the meat on and not cut yourself is buy holding the skewer with one had and the meat/ point of the skewer like a hot dog.Overall - it fits my needs and I would buy them again, but there are some caveats that require noting before/ during use.

Gorgeous
For the price these are so beautiful. Came in a canvas zipper case and are just all around super nice. Haven’t used them yet but so far so good!

Not as sturdy as expected
I have other 17in skewers, but they don’t have wood handles. The first thing I noticed with this product is a little bit of pressure to simulate adding food caused the metal to bend just above the wood handle. I can’t imagine the results of adding grill heat. The skewer tip isn’t very sharp and with that being said I think adding meat could be an issue of some type. Also, the wood handles have a freshly varnished/paint smell and it’s strong enough that even though the skewers are inside a bag the cabinet I store them in smells like chemicals now. The bag that came with the skewers is nice. Like I said my other 17in skewers don’t have a wood handle, but they have none of these issues either. The price is great, they have a nice look, and the bag is an added bonus if the issues I have don’t matter then then go for it.

Pretty good skewers, especially for the money
Most skewers that you find in the store are quite thin with square or round cross-section. That means that your meat or vegetables tend to slide and spin around on them. That's a pain when you want to flip them over on your grill for even cooking. And those spiral ones - what a pain to keep clean! These are nice and wide, so things stay where you put them! And the case is actually pretty nice - an unexpected extra (except that it's camo, but whatever). The wood handles are nice because they stay cooler than 1-piece metal ones. However the wood handles are also the biggest weak point in these skewers. Rather than being "full-tang", with the steel extending all the way through the handle, these just have a slot that the steel is pressed into - about 1/2-3/4". That means that after you've had them a while and done some grilling, the high temp can easily start to weaken the wood nearest the heat - which is exactly where the press fit is!. We now have several that can easily be pulled apart. It's not tragic, as you can just stick them back in, but inconvenient.Still, for this price you can't beat them!
