I was never really a fan of matcha until a barista friend of mine told me that I probably hadn’t had high quality matcha. He made me a matcha latte and I’ve been hooked since. At the beginning of the year I decided I should start making them at home. I did a lot of research and after trying multiple brands at multiple price points I landed on matcha sense. It’s definitely ceremonial quality, and I don’t have to sift it! The flavor is divine/scent is divine as well.As someone who suffers from IBS & GERD, even if I have just one cup of coffee a day my stomach still suffers over time. I can drink multiple cups of matcha a day with no tummy problems. I’m also super sensitive to caffeine & matcha just doesn’t give me any anxiety. It’s amazing and I never would have imagined I could have anxiety-free energy.One pouch of matcha sense lasts me a month(and that’s even having multiple matchas a day + making some for my husband every so often).Matcha sense is worth every penny. I have been buying Matcha for over 15 years. I consider myself a Matcha aficionado, people ask me for advice on all aspects of matcha.You can have the world's best Matcha but if you don't prepare it correctly it's best you just throw it away.This Matcha produces nice smooth flavors.Absolutely no grit and smooth when mixing. Leaves a very nice top crema layer.Extremely "Vibrant" in color which means you are getting really fresh matcha.I have spent up to $80 for .5 grams so take my word for it- This is probably the best 100-gram matcha you can buy for the money.Whoever farms this Matcha is doing a good job.The second batch I just received was so good that when I used it in my strainer it easily went through without having to almost do anything but quickly shake it.I seriously won't buy from anywhere else. This is better than Encha, and Kenko along with many others.

I recently made the switch to incorporating matcha into my daily morning routine as a replacement for coffee. While my love for coffee was strong, I noticed that I became more anxious yet lethargic at the same time whenever I drank coffee, which did not make me feel good whatsoever. I've tried a few matcha green teas in the past before from other brands and I really enjoyed them for the most part, but the price for a good quality organic matcha powder was very expensive. Luckily I came across this amazing matcha green tea and honestly I feel like Matcha sense has the greatest value you can get when compared to other brands. The matcha itself has a very vibrant green color and smells very fresh and grassy, good indicator for quality. Also it is one of the best tasting matcha that I have tried so far. Totally recommend, and will definitely purchase from them again!

Excellent matcha, and great value. A small amount doesn’t dissolve well, maybe a little too moist, but flavor is excellent!

I’m not a matcha expert by any means but I do have to say this is really smooth and tasty matcha. Much better than what I’ve had at a popular coffee shop. I make this matcha everyday with oat milk and vanilla syrup. Delicious!

I bought this twice. Once a few years back and recently just in October 2024. I’m sad to report that it just doesn’t taste the same. There’s been a matcha shortage from what I understand, so I’m not surprised if something like their sourcing has changed, but sadly I don’t think I will return to this brand. It was truly a favorite of mine and I told everyone I knew about it because of its ease of access purchasing it online and the affordability. Before, a tiny amount created amazing rich flavor—what sold me on ceremonial matcha! This new batch, I use 2-3 tablespoons and the flavor is just not there. It’s not horrible, I will finish it. But for ceremonial this is not great quality and the quality decline has been very obvious to me.

Hands down the best matcha out there— I tried many brands. This is unsweetened, so no added sugars like you find in a coffee shop. It will need sweetener though. I mix it in a little bit of warm water until it thickens, then fill the rest of my cup.
