Transformators in general are great products to have at home, in your garage in case you have some work requiring higher/lower voltages that needs to be done. I needed 220v for my AC welder and the fuse kept breaking every time I started to weld.

DO NOT BUY IF IN NORTH AMERICA
DO NOT BUT THIS IF YOU LIVE IN THE USA/CANADA. this item has a European plug on it so it can't be used in the USA/Canada. The box does not contain an adapter for usage in USA/Canada. Not sure why this is on sale in North America when it can't be used there. I'm currently in the process of getting a full refund from Amazon.
