Sleek designe and Shakespeare's reputation.
I had the previous version of this antenna for many years on my boat and it was a superior product. I am now replacing my older version with this "New" Shakespeare Skinny Mini antenna and hope it performs like the older version.

Works well so far
I measure an SWR of 1.1 to 1 with my AIS gear, so this antenna is spot-on for AIS use. It also looks good IMHO. One warning, it comes without an end on the coax so you can run the cable down an extension mast and/or through a mount. If you are unable to put ends on coax, you might get frustrated. It is supplied, but you have to solder it on after you run the cable. Shakespeare sells solderless crimp-on fittings if you want one.
