Fractal Filters Classic Prismatic Camera Filters, 3-Pack

I bought these on a lark with no idea what I was doing with them. I don't use photoshop or Lightroom even though I've been shooting for almost 16 years now; I like to try and get cool effects and whatnot in-camera and I thought these would be a fun tool to try since I usually use things like cellophane, small sphere balls, etc. But these are GREAT. They come in a nice padded zippered pouch that's easy to store, keep them nice, and toss it in your bag. The handles are like brass knuckles, which makes them very secure to hold while shooting and not get fingerprints on them, and allows for easy positioning/rotation while you're shooting. I use the larger/blockier prism more than the others but they've all served a purpose. They're really fun to play with when the light is cool or strange, you get awesome light leaks, lens flares, and cool mirrored effects. I even saw someone shooting The Struts the other night using these in the photography pit; they would do amazing things to stage lights, I imagine. I've used them for multiple portrait sessions now including a boudoir session where they gave a great soft vignette and some cool star filter-like effects; my clients love the results and think it's so cool. They can be used in almost infinite ways and I've only begun to scratch the surface of what they can do. They're durable, fun, and at this price point, well worth snagging to play with when you want to spice things up from the boring and predictable. Every shot is trial and error, which is what makes it a joy to experiment.

Such a great toys to get a bit creative while doing photos, i have them for a while and they never leave my camera bag, they also come in a bag súper easy to keep safe

The quality of the prisms are great , nice and thick you can feel the weight to them. They even came with a little case so they don't get damaged by carrying them around . The only downside was the box itself was very damaged when it showed up ( not that I'm keeping the box ) but thankfully they were inside the carring case so the prisms didn't face any damage. I am so happy I decided to finally take the leap and purchase these 🫶

I love them so much! I do wedding videography and they are super handy to keep in my fanny pack I also purchased. I keep my favorite of the three fractals (the Julia, I believe) in the fanny pack and can easily reach for it for added effect. I love them for flat lays/detail shots to add extra interest to the image. They also match my dreamy style so well. Best purchase and super easy to use!Attached a screenshot from one of my videos, so it's kind of blurry, but you can see the beautiful effect it can produce when held in different ways in front of the lens!

A little bit pricey but gives unique effect for photography. Hope I will use it a lot!

These are amazing! Especially for the money! I've looked at other fractals but they're actually lenses so they're more expensive and not as easy to use and switch out at sessions. I've still only used these a couple of times but in the time I've used they I LOVE them! They allow so much creativity and add uniqueness to any photos! If you've been on the fence, get them!

For $100 I think this purchase was only kinda worth it. I only see the “Julia” piece to be the most useful and versatile compared to the others in the set for creating unique images for me personally. The Pascal is cool too, don’t like the penwood one though.One thing that makes me regret buying this is that I can’t include this on a carry on bag when traveling. TSA claimed these look like brass knuckles and even tho they’re reaching I see where they’re coming from. But this almost made me late for a flight trying to figure out what to do with it before flying. Like come on man, update the design, that’s such a drawback.If they sold these separately it would've been so much better. But the carrying bag that comes with it is super cool and makes the price justified
