This was definitely the right choice of phone holder to work with our specific vehicle. If you’re looking for a custom fit holder that works with most any size phone, in nearly any size case for your Toyota RAV4 (ours is 2016), this is the one to choose. I did my usual process to narrow down what items were available on Amazon, and read the reviews thoroughly. When I finally decided, this was the item, and I’m glad I selected the perfect way to safely support and use my phone carefully while driving. I really like how easily it installed, and the included tool made it a literal snap. I was worried that I would have to remove the dash cover, but all I had to do was lift it a bit, and the clip snapped in easily and securely. I just popped the arm on the holster, and slid it into the clip slot. Locks in place nicely, too. I am so impressed that the smooth function of the inner workings is made of metal and holds the phone securely in place. There is no rattle or vibration when the car is moving, with the phone in place or not. I can now us my phone for music or maps, as well as cautiously answer calls and text with just one finger or my voice, while keeping my eyes on the road. Get this, without hesitation. Thank you!

Essentially had to figure out how to install this on my own. The included documentation is worthless. It's translated from Chinese into English and doesn't even make sense when you read it. Grammatical errors in sentences, etc. There's a QR code included that's supposed to take you to a web page (I'm assuming) that's supposed to walk you thru how to install for your particular make and model of car. Of course, the QR code doesn't even work.UPDATE on 4/20/2020:the other day I drove over a bump in the street while my phone was attached the magnet. The weight of the phone broke the plastic base holding the mount and the whole thing fell to the floor. Now all it's good for is the trash unfortunately. I'm disappointed the base was made out of such flimsy plastic that it broke.

I could not find a phone mount to fit my RAV4 - dash mounted ones wouldn't stick, vent clip mounts were difficult to install because of the orientation of the vent grilles, etc. This mount fits like a glove! The included crowbar was extremely helpful. No chance this is falling off, and now it isn't blocking my air vent. Seriously impressed with this mount. Best choice for RAV4 drivers.

Installed easily. Didn't know the dash cover was so easy to pry off, and clicks easily and securely back in place. I thought the tension holder wouldn't hold my phone, but it does it nicely. My 18 year old explained it to me before I went to all the trouble to take the phone grip part off my last stand. As soon as you put the phone in, the weight pulls down the bottom, and the sides grip nicely and securely. I've gone over bumps and the phone stays put. Only issue is the right side "arm" partially covers the off button, which is inconvenient at times.

This was easy to install in a 2013 Toyota RAV4. Phones slide in easily and stay in place.

I have had it for less than a year but I used it a lot-2 trips across the country! It was a little flimsy for me. I love the design and the ability to clip the holder to the car. That worked well. However, a few months ago the ball got sloppy so the phone wouldn’t stay put when trying to swivel it and then the clip holding it to the trim broke. I gorilla taped it and used it for a few more months but have recently purchased a different brand which feels much studied.

Received package from the phone holder, Fits like a glove on my 2018 RAV4 . Very easy to install I still have full access to hazard lights and vent controls. Mounts perfectly and simply to the RAV4 dashboard. Holds the phone steady. Just be careful with it and it will probably last quite a while
