This is one of the best values ever from Amazon! I purchased this for a friend that is getting married as a congratulations gift. Half of the fun she said was opening the oyster, the other half was putting it inside the heart cage. It is feminine but not too small to get noticed. She had never seen anything like it before.The pearl my friend got was grey and she said it has no flaws and was very "pearlescent" and lovely. She sent me a photo and the pearl was larger than I thought it would be. The silver is very polished and looks like good quality. She was delighted! I bought one previously for my sister that had a beautiful blue sheen on a white pearl. I will continue to buy these, affordable and beuatiful gifts. It was less than half the price of stores and is real silver, not pot metal.Great gift, great fun and pretty!

Loved getting to open my own oyster and find a pearl inside! The cage necklace is easy and convenient, but doesn’t show off the pear as well as a traditional setting. Awesome gift idea!

I purchased this as a gift and while it's appearance is very nice within its gift box, it is really more of a symbolic gesture than it is a piece of jewelry. The recipient loved it although I was silently a bit more critical. I did purchase a better chain before giving it as a gift because the chain that came with it is rather flimsy and costume looking. However, after the new chain was enclosed (taking the original one out) it became a rather nice gift. The price is right for what you get and the expense for the additional chain added a luster to the gift. I want to add that after reading reviews on this site, I expected the additional expense so I was prepared emotionally for that. This really is a nice gift but as I say, it's more symbolic to the wish that one carries with it. If you purchase this for yourself as a piece of jewelry, you may be a bit disappointed, however, as a gift it is quite nice at a nice price. The recipient loved it as she opened it and put it together. she loved the anticipation of finding the enclosed pearl. The smile it brought made it a worthwhile gift. I would recommend this for a more casual gift as it is not expensive but for the recipient, it was priceless.

My mom got me this for my birthday present and it came in a blue ocean box. i really like the little detail of opening up the oyster yourself.. i love it so much!! i recieved the love pearl, and the size was perfect!! i wear the necklace everyday! its very special to me. i think it makes a perfect gift!

My buddy told me about this. I got it as part of my gfs Valentine's present. She loves it. She enjoyed harvesting the pearl from the oyster. It was fun. She wears it everywhere. Im glad i spent the 20 bucks.

I got this for her as a gift. She loved it of course but her favorite part was pulling the pearl out of the shell and putting it in the necklace. It is beautiful

I purchased this for a Xmas present and my girlfriend just mentioned to me that she thinks it is not real silver and she has bumps and itch's on her neck from it. See said she has always been sensitive to fake silver. This got me to come on here and check it out. I saw your review and wanted to also say we have similar experience right down to a clam already cracked open. Now reading your review may think the pearl is even fake. Wow!

This was a great valentine gift and she loved it. The kids now want one as well. The fun and the surprise of opening your own oyster and not knowing what color you got was the best part.
