Buy Once, Cry Once. Stainless Steel, Worth The Extra $, You Want This One.
INTRO: Skip to *** for nuts 'n' bolts.Have wanted one for years, but could never justify the expense ... until now. Water pump in nine-year-old washing machine decided to die on 20JUL2020, and even with the home warranty contract, machine won't be repaired until 12AUG2020. Manual clothes washing no problem - two 1-1/2 bushel plastic tubs, a square fiberglass utility sink insert and two brand-new toilet plungers; getting the clothes clean is not a real big deal.Wringing them out and getting them rinsed IS a big deal. Very deliberately did not TWIST the clothes, and it's almost impossible to squeeze them out to get them thoroughly rinsed.Enter the WISEMAN HAND CLOTHES WRINGER, Stainless Steel Professional Model.***Shipped fast, arrived fast. Good solid American Stainless Steel, made here in America by Americans!Easy set up, make sure all the nuts are tightened down hand-tight.Had to file off a burr with on the inside of the crank handle to slide it onto the roller shaft, but that was very minor.MAKE SURE that the wringer is solidly mounted. <<Read that part again. You'll have to experiment with the roller tension to get the clothes adequately wrung out. Really thick clothing with big buttons like jeans or overalls don't do well - to get the big buttons through the rollers, the tension has to be set so loose that the garment is not adequately wrung out, and I don't like the idea of metal buttons possibly damaging the rubber rollers.I really like the bar across the top with the carrying handle. It adds stability and a good solid feel to the device. It wrings non-jeans and non-overalls exactly as intended, and significantly cuts line-drying time.If you're off-grid, or car-camping or experiencing a power outage that lasts for more than a day or so, this clothes wringer is worth it's weight in freeze-dried food.Spend the extra money and get the stainless steel model - given reasonable care, it should outlast your grandkids.I highly recommend this wringer!

Heavy duty
I was very hesitant at first glance however after using it i was very surprised how well it worked. I've only used it once so I'm going to give it time to see if i still feel very good about it after a few weeks. So far i like it with the load i washed

A wise & EXCELLENT LIFETIME investment for NOMADS & REGULARS TOO!
Construction EXCELLENT! Parts & materials EXCELLENT & MADE WITH GREAT CARE & LOVE, right here in THE USA!Maneuverability at first was a challenge & I cancelled the next day; however as I'd decided to do a full load of clothes out of my tub just because I didn't want to give up on this thing! As I learned to maneuver more & more I began to GET BETTER! I took into consideration the fact that the material and product parts are virtually INDESTRUCTIBLE...I had a few a tangled towel on the side end & had to untangle & screw off the 'wing nut' etc. Put back on...BUT, what I noticed is I DIDN'T have to feel worried about it breaking bec IT IS WITH SUCH DURABLE MATERIAL PARTS & I BELIEVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY, Forever! If you are somewhere & you need to wash your clothes in a siuation whereby you have no electricity, or living in your car or van etc...you've A LIFETIME FRIEND TO HELP YOU!I LOVE IT + my hand 'WASHING WAND'!There are other HAND CRANKS but I LOVE THE PARTS & MATERIALS PARTICULARLY ON THIS ONE.

Works!
This ringer works. You can clamp it to cuboidal/box-shaped bins and get to working. Be careful how you mount because there is a flap that is angled diagonally; you need to mount so that the flap is down towards the side that you're feeding into so water drips back down that way (not towards the side where materials feed out). The default settings (e.g. pressure on rollers) worked great for all sorts of materials; thin to medium blankets, shirts, pants, towels, etc... To operate this ringer, however, you might need 3 people; one to feed, one to twist the handle and one to receive. For larger items (e.g. blankets), they tend to get caught on the edges and you have to reverse crank to get the items untangled from the edges; this problem is only managed by someone controlling the spread of the item going in (make sure the surface of the item at any time going through do not expand outside the black rollers).

Exactly right
For anyone who is trying to live off grid, camping, or preparing, this product is going to be exactly what you need. I have gone almost completely to hand washing my clothes this way. It makes me feel self-sufficient, and it also saves on electricity. As you can see, I mounted it on a square bucket that I bought from Tractor Supply. Worth every penny!
