This much better than anticipated. I am a walking tour guide and in my city am required now to wear a mask while performing. So I needed a way my audience could hear me with a mask covering my face.The sound is phenomenal. It really exceeds my expectations. I was expecting it to sound like I was talking out of a tin can. Quite the opposite.My only concerns are 1) I am accustomed to using my voice to it’s full potential and by using a mic this really changed the way I had to engage my group. 2) the headpiece is very uncomfortable to wear and pinches the ear. I found a solution to both of these issues. I wear it around my neck instead of on my head. I adjust the mic so it is about four or five inches from my mouth. This way it is now very comfortable to wear and I can use my voice the way I am accustomed to without distorting.I have found it is fairly water resistant (Knock Knock) last week I was in torrential downpours every night. It still works. Granted, I did as good as I could protecting it, so I won’t say it’s water proof! But it is water resistant.The speaker is comfortable and lightweight to wear on your hip. It does come with back up mic covers , which is a nice touch.

I got this because it was on sale and I needed something to help save my voice from "yelling" across the field during long rehearsals. This does the job. It's not super loud outside, but gets the job done. I am pleased.

I'm a professional tour guide and this voice amplifier just made my tours so much easier to conduct. I no longer have to raise my voice when speaking to groups outdoors. This device is lightweight and projects the sound of my voice within a ten foot radius. Delivery time was fast within a couple days. A great device for the price point. Very satisfied with the sound quality.

I bought this specifically to use for a tae kwon do belt testing event to talk to the parents and kids without yelling! Worked great for me!!

If you don't like to yell, this is pretty good! Inexpensive option

I use this in my classroom and it’s loud enough for kids to hear without hurting their ears. However, it only lasted 3 months before the entire unit stopped working.

Didn't have high expectations given the price. It works though and for the low price it's hard to complain.The first unit received stopped functioning within 14 days or so and was returned and replaced. The second unit stopped working outside the return window within a few weeks of being received. I troubleshooted the second one and while I can't say what was the matter with the first, for the second one the mic went bad. It still works as I confirmed by plugging a 3.5mm stereo jack from a computer output into it and playing music through it.Other things of note: headsets and mic/headphone combos do not work with this. So if you have a headset with speakers and a mic (or an earbud with mic set that came with a phone) the mic won't work. You need a replacement mic that is just a microphone.Given the cost of such mics is likely to be around a third of the cost of the unit if not even equal to it depending on quality this fact should be evaluated when deciding to purchase. If you have a mic or are happy to purchase another one to use with this unit when the one it comes with fails I'd say go for it.As for sound quality it's about what you'd expect for the price range. It's not awful but definitely not crystal clear. People can hear and understand you but it's not "professional grade" which would cost several times more.As for reach of the sound it's suitable and fine for say a tour guide of a small group in areas that aren't terribly noisy. Indoors for example away from other noise it can stand out above normal conversation volumes. Not suitable for large areas like a concert hall or a big auditorium if you need to reach beyond 25-40 feet (or talk over hundreds of people talking) but for a normal sized room with 20-50 people it's fine.

its good in a quiet room not the best outdoors. I used it at a health fair and found myself yelling more than I was comfortable with. Perhaps at PE speaking as kids are quiet would work. U cld probably hear 10ft away if quiet. Battery does not last long. It wld be dead in about 2 or maybe 3 hours. Turn it off while not talking for longer battery life
