ONE of the best TWO protein supplements in the market!
For me, when it comes to whey supplements, quality is more important than price. I've tried several high-quality brands including: (1) Raw Organic Whey, (2) Opportuniteas Grass-fed Whey Protein Isolate, (3) Antler Farm Whey Isolate, and (4) Naked Whey.Ultimately, I've decided that I will be using two protein products going forward: one chocolate flavored (for quick mix with water after workout) and one unflavored (for smoothies, where I can add my own fruits and flavoring with almond milk, coconut water, etc).As far as chocolate flavored protein powder goes, NOTHING comes close to Bluebonnet. First off, the amino profile looks great (good ratio of BCAA). The protein content ratio is very good (for flavored products 26g of protein in a 33g scoop is perfectly respectable). Low sugar. Ingredient list looks clean - no junk. But where Bluebonnet really shines is the taste and solubility. It doesn't taste chalky (which many other chocolate flavored proteins do).As for my unflavored protein choice, I will not discuss that here as it is not relevant to this product being reviewed. Hint: it's one of the 4 brands listed above.

Great- original flavor is best for my health
I started with the vanilla, which is delicious. I also felt better, because I don't get enough protein. Then I started realizing the stevia gives me horrible insomnia, which immediately stopped when I ran out. Then I tried the original, no flavor, no stevia flavor. It's not bad like some people say. Doesn't taste like a milkshake, but does not really have flavor. Can easily be added to smoothies if you can't handle throwing it in some water real quick like I tend to do.

Good, but expensive
I have tried a few other unflavored whey proteins and this is by far the best I've tried. For me, the criteria for whey protein is pretty simple: 1) Needs to mix well - this one mixes very well with a spoon and a little water (always mixes better with water than anything else), 2) Needs to not taste bad - ok, it doesn't need to taste GOOD, but it shouldn't taste bad. This one actually tastes GOOD! I think because it's smooth with a neutral taste, but there is vanilla in the ingredients to give it just a hint of vanilla. Not strong, but just enough that it tastes pleasant. 3) Needs not to have a lot of crazy ingredients - Ok, this has some soy lecithin. For me, I don't care. Almost everything has soy lecithin. But it doesn't have any sucralose or anything else. 4) Not too expensive - this one is on par (cost per gram of protein) as most of the other protein powders.UPDATE: I downgraded my rating of this. I tried it again and it was hard to stomach alone. It's still a high quality protein, but I don't think it's worth the extra price. Now I use NOW Protein.

Delicious!
I recently started doing P90x and wanted whey isolate to add to my post workout smoothie. I searched for days for a whey powder that I would actually want to consume on a daily basis. That meant that I wanted something tasty but without any artificial flavors/sweeteners and no added sugars. Sounds simple, right? Wrong! Most powders did not meet these criteria and even "natural" ones still had stevia in the ingredient list. Dealbreaker.I finally came across Bluebonnet's Whey Protein Isolate (Original). Short and simple ingredient list: Undenatured whey protein isolate, natural vanilla flavor. I was considering The Organic Whey (which is a concentrate, not isolate), and while I usually do not mind paying a premium for quality goods, it was Bluebonnet's pricing that won me over. $37 for 2.2 lbs. Compare that with Organic Whey's 1.5 lb for $65. In the end, I'm very happy I went with Bluebonnet.Opening the tub is like walking into a bakeshop--smells heavenly. And it tastes great! I blend 3/4 scoop of the whey isolate with some ice, a little nonfat milk (roughly 1/3 C), and half a banana. (This is why added sugar was a big no-no for me; milk and banana already provide that.) I was shocked when I made my first drink. I could not believe that something so tasty could be so healthy. Seriously, it was delicious! Like HarryPotterMagicBroomstickICantBelieveItsNotButter delicious. Okay, terrible comparison because I hate I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, but it was unbelievably good, and I am still amazed every time I have one. So, during a sweat-filled, heavy panting workout where I'm crying halfway through because...well darnit I'm only halfway through...I remind myself that I have a delicious drink waiting for me at the end.

Awesome product
This whey protein is just great all around. Great tasting, natural, and they no longer use soy lechitin. I have been searching a while for a decent grass fed whey protein that tasted great and also didnt contain soy lecithin as I consume whey protein several times a day(so that intake adds up). This use to have soy lechitin in it, but the company has since moved onto using sunflower lecithin instead. The disclaimer though is that it is manufactured in a facility that also manufactures almonds, soy, and nuts. I'm not allergic to soy or anything, so this does not bother me as I just prefer it to not actually be a part of the product ingredient as a lot of products have soy ingredients nowadays. I used optimum nutrition natural whey which tasted nasty, plus has soy lechitin and other questionable ingredients. Then I went to revergeance organic grass fed whey. Which was not bad and use sunflower lechitin as well. The only problem I had was it only came in a 14 ounce size that was a little over20 dollars. Plus no additional BCAA(branch chain amino acids) since I work out. So I found this. I use this in recipes, as well as just drinking it with water or almond milk. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that works out or just wants to live a healthy lifestyle. I have only had the Vanilla flavor, but I do plan on trying the other favors.
