Top of the Balms!
I've been looking at this product since August (2022) and then finally decided to purchase it. (I received it fast - same day ordering). I don't really write reviews, however, upon using this product, I was excited to! .I'm a white girl (mix of Italian and Norwegian), have predominately dry, thick, naturally wavy/curly hair, that is below my shoulders in length and cut in long layers. I have used many balms thru the years from Loreal to Redkin and all in between. My fave was the Loreal Smooth Intense Straight Perfecting Balm. (I love to use balms on my hair since my hair is dry and I like to straighten it most of the time - I find the consistency and textures are best for my hair). With the Loreal balm being discontinued, I was on a mission to find a new fave. I think I found it with this product! I would say that with this product it's more for a seasoned "balmer" user than a beginner. It comes out in a thick gel-like texture and then when you rub between your hands, it is sort of oily/greasy. For me this a great thing for my dryish texture and my consistent use of blow drying and flat ironing. I say for a beginner user of a hair balm like this, because of how concentrated it is and with it being an oily/greasy balm, start with a small or teeny amount and go from there as you style - I used it on towel-dried hair. I applied a quarter sized amount at first, blow dried my hair and then added a little more, combed thru, hit it with the dryer again on cool and then flat ironed. All in all it cut my drying experience by a few minutes, and I was amazed at how well it worked with just the hair dryer while using my hair brush. I didn't even need to use that much of the flat iron. Also, note, I didn't apply any other hair products like serums, mousse etc. (sometimes i do have to layer hair products to achieve my end results).I am so HAPPY with the end result: my hair came out so beautiful, shiny and healthy looking and to my happy surprise, very soft and flowy - not the stiffness or weight that some of the other products leave on my hair. I was just amazed and said to myself, 'why did I wait so long'! My blonde is lighter, shiny and healthy looking (I use loreal box dye). I feel with all being said, this product a winner for me!

Best straightening balm ever!
I have purchased this 3 times in a row and can't live without it! I have kinky, fine hair and have spent loads of time blowdrying and flat ironing my hair. I use this with my blowdryer brush and my hair looks like I was coming back from the salon. Smooth and shiny! Note--you only use a little bit because it will make your hair greasy if you use too much. You also need to blow dry your hair with this balm--it's not just a leave in.

Try it for yourself; You’ll see what I’m talking about..
I used this after I got a Brazilian blowout to maintain the treatment longer, it’s freaking amazing at how well this stuff actually works, it helps straighten out your hair quicker and makes it manageable and silky.

Keeps the frizzies away
I have keratin treated hair and this product compliments it well. I would caution that a very little bit is needed. If I use more than a pea size, it weighs my hair down.

Don't Debate It - You NEED THIS!!!
I have CUUUUUURLY hair, and, after reading the reviews, decided it was worth a shot. I followed the advice about not over doing it, and I'm glad I did! I had a trip to NY that I wanted cute straight hair for. I would run a small amount through my hair about 20m after my shower at night, then blowdry it (Use a hairdryer brush) for about 10-15m. Next morning, just needed to curl the ends to make it cute. Lasted ALL DAY. Hair was never heavy or greasy. Never clumped up, and it was really humid! Got back to AZ, and still works like a charm.

It'll work if you apply heat and avoid humid regions
I live in the DC area, and summers might get a little humid, so I needed something to help keep my frizz tame. This was great the first time I used it. The instructions say to apply generously through towel-dried hair, and I did. It's heat-activated, so you have to meticulously dry/flat iron all your hair to get it to feel silky smooth. The balm itself doesn't straighten your hair, it's merely a heat protectant balm that allows you to style your hair with high heat and not cause damage. If you don't heat/dry your hair enough, it might feel a bit rough or sticky. After the whole process, I went to a party (dressed way too warm) and my hair stayed silky straight even through humidity and some sweating. I was sold, until I took a trip to Nola. The day we arrived to Nola, my hair started to frizz as soon as we stepped outside of the airport. I just assumed I hadn't done my hair properly, so I showered and redid my hair when we finally arrived at our hotel. My hair looked wonderful, but as I started my makeup and getting dressed, my hair was already frizzy before we left our room. Apparently this balm was able to tame my mane in DC, but it just didn't have the strength to hold it together in Nola humidity. Now, I'm on the fence about this product.Full disclosure, I did NOT have a Brazilian blowout done on my hair prior to using this product, and I have relatively straight hair with a bit of frizz. I believe this product is originally designed to extend the life of your blowout, not to be used as a standalone product, which may have been my issue. Regardless, I have found it works in mildly humid weather, but I wouldn't get my hopes up to use against gulf humidity.

Does not work and it tangles hair awful
So I thought when I first used it that was going to work pretty good. But when you are using it there is a slight ammonia smell which I did not care for. Then within a matter of hours of my hair being loose it was more frizzy than ever. It also really seemed like it tangles my hair horribly. It may work if you have a Brazilian blow out but on natural hair. It really does not hold for very long at all. I’m sorry to say I was really hoping it would turn out great but I have to be honest. I would not ever buy this again. It’s pricey and I have tried it around 3 times, so no I can’t give a good review.
