Great sun hat

The rim is kinda large but besides that it’s great. Tested under IR and it’s not bright at all. 9/10

The media could not be loaded. Great quality, good appearance- matches well with NWUIII gear. Very durable.

The hat seems to be well made like other reviews. But I was under the impression that this was GI from the appearance of the inside label. The price was well over double the other imported units, which suggested US made, and there was no indication in the description that it was imported. I might keep it, I might not.

claims that it fits up to 63cm but is too shallow to fit on a head that large.

This matches 100% to the original AOR2 / NWU Type III camo issued by the US Navy. I have both of these and there is zero color or pattern differences. The holes on the top of the hat for heat ventilation are nicely covered by mesh, and it's a small factor that you wouldn't have thought to look for or be a problem until you have pesky mosquitos all over you. The pouch in the top of the head is an unexplained mystery. My head size is 22.5 inches around and this hat fit perfectly. It isn't tight, and yet I can throw my head forward and backward and it doesn't come off at all. An ideal fit.
