REMO Frame Drum, RENAISSANCE®, 22" Diameter, 2.5" Depth

This drum has a lovely low tone. Non-tunable, but in tune with itself. Such a resonant healing sound. I love to play it for full moon ceremonies. It is best played in the freehand style. It can be played in lap style for short periods, and it can be played in upright--but if you are in wind, you might get your head clunked (just sayin'--how would I know? :-O --Yes, I did hit my head a couple of times. Great value for the price. Not afraid to loan this one or share it, like my expensive drums.

Good value-for-the-money frame drum.The wooden shell, although of industrial craftsmanship, is well conceived for the purposes, light yet durable.The Remo head is of outstanding quality and a great substitute for a natural head. However, it lacks some of the warmth and authenticness of a real natural animal skin, which is nothing new in this type of drums. Crisp and bright high notes and a deep bass.My only slightly negative review is that the heads on these Remo Renaissance frame drums should come tuned more tighter, with a bit more of tension. Other than that, great product!!

Love these Remo skin drums... sound is lovely deep & strong, no problem with skin outside in damp, cold or even too hot conditions!A little disappointed as it's not Renaissance as stated... I checked on the Remo site & Renaissance should have 4 holes in the frame to allow for lacing, stringing or putting a wooden handle... Unfortunately this drum did not and as I required it for Shamanic drumming purposes I had to glue rope around the edge of the frame in order to create a 'handle' on the back to hold it for drumming!Other than that I love it... painted with Sharpie pens it's the envy of everyone who sees it!!Great price & super fast delivery!

Gorgeous resonance from this drum

Ich wollte eine Trommel mit sehr tiefem Ton. Das hat diese Trommel definitiv erfüllt. Leider ist sie für mich viel zu groß, was ich unterschätzt habe. Dadurch erschwert es das Halten/Tragen & somit das Spielen. Der dunkelbraune Rahmen erinnert an aus der Mode gekommenes Möbelfurnitur. Nicht nach meinem Geschmack und meinen Bedürfnissen, deshalb geht diese Trommel zurück. Schade ist auch, dass kein Schlegel mitgeliefert wird.Ein Instrument ist immer individuell zu betrachten, deshalb spiegelt diese Bewertung lediglich meine Besürfnisse/Ansprüche und nicht das Produkt selbst wieder.

Tambor de marco (frame drum) de pie sintética (la piel sintética tiene no solamente tiene la ventaja de respetar a los animales sino que no se desafina con las temperaturas ni tocando al aire libre). Yo lo he comprado no sólo para grabaciones sino para disfrutar de él en la naturaleza, y es perfecto. Un diseño limpioy sencillo (como una gran luna) y en el tamaño de 22 pulgadas una nota grave con y con profundidad. Es el segundo pandero de Remo que tengo, la piel de fibra amarillea un poco con los años, con un poco de cuidado es un instrumento que disfrutarás muchos años y a un precio razonable. E insisto, el hecho de que sea piel sintética para mí es una ventaja.
