Bought this reed to make my own tobacco basket. It’s a little thinner than I thought but that’s my fault for not understanding the dimensions. I did soak it to help bend it. It started to curl from the sides and I thought all was ruined but it did straighten back out after leaving it wrapped together. I wanted to age the basket with vinegar but was afraid to after it was together that it would curl again. If I bought more reed to make another basket it would be thicker and wider. But I figured I would keep going with the basket and it was nice to learn with this reed. It was less expensive than other kinds.

Worked well for woven wood stars - holiday decorations. Occasionally joint opened when soaked and bent, but was repaired with wood glue and clip.

Have reordered already. Thanks to the reviewer who said she made her Swedish stars with this reed. Was looking for the perfect material and this is it.

This was just as advertised and what I needed. It is very easy to work with.

I thought I was buying quality basket weaving material and this is not it. This is extremely thin, like paper and is continuous so when you wet it to weave with it, it separates and curls. It was a complete waste of my money.
