The model is selling at a great price and a great learning tool. It's is difficult to assemble and the parts do not fit perfectly. For me, I just had to remember the piece are rubber and flexible, so I can bend the pieces to get them to fit and not worry about pieces breaking. If you like everything to fit perfectly, this might not be the product for you if you can afford to pay several times more for a better one.

JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. I received this package and I was shocked at how light the package was. I was thinking this cannot be it. It would not have been bad that it is only about the size of a baseball if it was made professionally. None of the pieces fit together like they should. After several minutes of trying to piece it together, I finally gave up. Cannot take to much pressure fitting it together. Falls apart very easily. Never got it completely together. Amazon should get rid of this vendor and this product. It is a joke and a complete ripoff!!! I usually never leave a review, but please do not purchase this product. Could never be used to learn the parts of the skull unless you just wanted to look at all the parts separately unassembled. I will be asking for a complete refund and depending on how that goes may leave further reviews. Extremely small and very cheaply made junk.

I agree with the other reviewers that it is a little difficult to put together, but I didn't have that much trouble once I figured what order to do it in.I was a little disappointed because it does not come apart along all of the fissures into the individual bones, but into different shaped pieces (for example, the right maxilla, zygomatic bone, and nasal bone are all part of one piece, while the temporal bones are in two pieces each). It is also missing some of the smaller foramina in the sphenoid bone, which is a little problematic if you want to use this to learn landmarks of the skull.Overall, though, this product is fairly accurate and well-made for the price, considering it's by far the cheapest model skull I could find.

Quick review:Pros - Cheap but the material was of decent quality. I’m using it as an enclosed centerpiece for a coffee tableCons - I’m not the handiest person around but it took me an insane amount of time to put it together.I tried once and basically smashed it apart because very few pieces flushed together.I wouldn’t let myself be defeated by this tiny skull so I left my house, questioned my sanity and took a nap before I attempted to put it together again. I failed again, I cried a little.I finally just sat down and told myself I’ll try one last time. It took me a total of 4 hours to get this put together and the pieces are not completely flush but it’ll do.I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Looks nice but once you try to assemble it, it falls apart.And it has been intended to be used by children!? No kid would manage to assemble it.Don't know if the item was produced like that or distorted during packaging but it's not pissible to use it properly.Definitely a wrong purchase.

The assembly was not too difficult, but there were no instructions included. Children may need help, because the pieces don't exactly "snap" together. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a model skull to study. Note: vomer bone is not included, so don't forget to study its location!

This is a great purchase for anyone learning the bones of the skull. Don't forget that it clearly states in the description that it says it is half size, as I see many reviewers were upset that it wasn't full sized... The pieces fit together well, once you first assemble them and let it set for a day, so don't think it is broken if it doesn't before you do that. Some bones are fused together, like the masseter and the zygomatic, and the vomer is part of the ethmoid, though all are present. The vomer would be too small anyways, and I wouldn't want to lose it. It would be nice if it had some landmarks labeled, though I found it a good study tool to add things with a sharpie, myself. Great buy! I will keep it and have it on my desk, once I graduate and am taking X-Rays! Now I need the whole body set, to have with it, if it exists!
