The best
I have tried other MISO soups by other brands, and by far, this one is the best. The taste is great, and it has medium-sized pieces of mushrooms and carrots. This one is from Japan, not China.

Great snack or appetizer
This miso soup is better than others I’ve tried. The chunks make it feel like a hearty snack - I keep them in my desk drawer when I’m peckish. They are low calorie and have a good amount of tofu and seaweed in each packet.

Delicious, easy to prepare - great value
I love good Miso soup and this brand is really wonderful. My only minor complaint is that the packages are small, so if you really want a large bowl of Miso, you may have to make two at once.

Unique instant soup
This is a miso soup for people who don't like miso soup: Although there's miso in it, the predominant flavor notes come from the bonito powder (ground-up fish) and shiitake mushroom extract, giving the broth a hearty, savory flavor. It's the most full-flavored soup I've ever tasted where all the ingredients are in a single dry packet. However, it's not my favorite instant soup. In my taste comparison, Miko brand miso soup is the clear winner. Miko comes in the form of 2 packets: one for the wet miso, one for the dry ingredients. Keeping the miso wet rather than reducing it to a powder makes all the difference, resulting in a soup that tastes fresh-made.Both are at a similar price point per pack. (The Morimoto comes in a 12-pack of 3-packs, so you get 36 soup packs total for your money.) If you love miso soup, go for Miko. But if you prefer a more savory, mushroom-y broth, the Morimoto might be more up your alley.

Tasty, good ingredients
I like these miso soups better than other brands because they are not just broth, they have vegetables in them. Very tasty.
