SE Survivor Series Wooden Walking/Hiking Stick with Hand-Carved Howling Wolf Design, 55" - WS628-55HW

I love my walking stick. I have arthritis and this stick helps me to stay on my feet longer than without it. I take it to the park and to street fairs. I get a lot of compliments on it. People want to know where I got it. Little kids are always curious as to why I'm using a big stick. It's kind of fun. So glad I got it because it allows me to go places that I might avoid because it's difficult to stand around or get around. This stick gives me something to lean on if I need to wait in line, which takes the pressure off my joints.I've never felt like the stick is anything but sturdy. It's easy to grip from any area. Sometimes I hold it at the top and other times I feel more comfortable holding it a foot or so down. Since there's no grip area, you can choose whatever is most comfortable for you. .It's easier to use than a cane, which causes pain in my arm. I have better range of motion and can walk faster with the stick. The best part about the stick is that it doesn't make me look feeble or handicapped like a cane does. But, I still feel like it's an outdoor thing and hesitate to take it to the mall. Maybe if the stick were shorter I'd feel more comfortable carrying it around indoors.

The stick is made out of Bianbai wood , a Chinese arborvitae. It is probably equivalent to pine wood. The finish is very nicely stained and lacquered. although in some spots the finish is a little rough, Otherwise it is well made. Mine as a howling wolf carved into it. It is a very handsome looking stick. When I first got it I thought the stick was hollow as its very light. I weigh 215 lbs so I tried leaning into it holding it with both hands at an angle, no problem. I then used it to whack a mattress on the edge and flat areas. The stick held on. I think if I took a full swing against the edge of a rock it might crack but I am not going to try that. This is not hickory wood. I like the spike and the rubber boot at then end is narrow and snug. I am going to say that for the price and no shipping charge this is a great deal and a great hiking and walking stick. It supported my weight leaning on it. Don't know about ice since we don't get that in So Cal. I am happy with the product and price.

I wanted a simple hiking stick for the 2-3 mile hikes my wife and I take, and I did not want to spend very much.This is a simple, straight, sturdy stick with an attractive finish. It is similar to bamboo in its strength and hardness, which is just fine for a casual nature hike but would not serve for serious back-country trekking, nor as a good weapon in a bar fight.The tip has a flat rubber end which you can remove to reveal a metal tip, depending on which you prefer. The top has a simple leather strap.If you want a better wooden hiking staff, you can find many. But not for $10.

When looking for a new walking stick I first went to local stores and flea markets. The most affordable one I found was in excess of $25, that was until I discovered the 55in Grizzly Bear Walking Stick on Amazon. I was initially impressed with the price but after the stick arrived I was really impressed. The stick is beautiful with a awesome design and color. The leather handle strap is strong and is made of quality materials. The rubber cap on the bottom really allows the stick to gain traction when being used. On top of looking good, this stick is very functional. I used this stick on a serious hike in the Wichita Mountains and it never missed a beat. It is completely stable and helped greatly during the trek. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody looking for a walking stick that is both functional and has exceptional design features!

I purchased this stick from 'batteriesinaflash'. The stick is very nice, attractive, well-made, and very light for easy carrying.When I first received it, however, it was missing the rubber cap or tip that covers the spike at the end when wanted or needed. I contacted the seller about this, and they could not have been nicer or more professional about it. They told me that they wanted their customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase, and immediately sent me ANOTHER STICK! This without having to return the first one! And then they followed up again to make sure that I was satisfied.My experience with 'batteriesinaflash' was one of the most positve you could imagine with any business/seller. I received this product today. This hiking stick is light, good length and appears to be made very well for the money. My ha ha's isabout the carved grizzly bear. I don't know what bears look like in China, the carving doesn't look like any bear that I have everseen. It looks like a very " pissed off " overweight groundhog. It has teeth like long thorns that goes in all directions.This doesn't affect the stick, the stick is very good and useable for the price. I just had to throw the grizzly bear in for a happylaugh. All honesty, if you need a 55in stick to hike in the woods or on a sidewalk this stick will fit the bill...
