and it works great! It came two days after I ordered it
I bought this battery for my NikonD80 on November 11th, and it works great! It came two days after I ordered it; which was very exciting. I haven't used my camera in a number of years, and so the batteries I owned previously had lost their charge and ability to hold a charge. I've been playing with my camera a lot since I got the battery in-turning it on, off, taking a bunch of photos, turning off and on again- and I have only had to charge the battery once, and this was because I accidentally left the camera on overnight. So overall; great battery, holds charge for a long time, and a great price! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for this type of battery.

Just as good as a factory unit...or better?
Great battery, at half the price of the Nikon branded unit. Charged, and held charge as well as the factory battery, or dare I say better? I took lots of pictures over Thanksgiving/ 2 birthday parties for my daughter, and never charged this battery. I'm talking 2, 2 gig cards worth! I have a Nikon D50, so it's getting harder to find items for the old gal. Nice to know I can get batteries from this vendor! I know there are "newer and better" cameras out there, but this one is just fine, and continues to do it's job well, thanks to STK!!!

Worked Like OEM
This item charged up and behaved just like the stock Nikon EN-EL3 and worked great during a critical shoot (backups were of-course available). I've only used it a few weeks, ergo 4 rather than five stars, it has not yet withstood the test of time. I love the idea of greater capacity but have not yet had the time to experience this. I plan to purchase a like product from the same manufacturer for another body I'm planning to purchase.

Praiseworthy service
When a company performs as advertised and delivers your product as described and on time, it deserves a five-star rating, but it does not really deserve a review. Companies are supposed to do what they promise. We don’t want to cheapen commercial life by praising duty. But then comes the crunch—and we have all experienced it at one time or another. Someone blew it. You received the wrong item, or part of the order was missing, or it didn’t work, or (fill in the blank with your own complaint). That is when you learn the character of the company. Are they just out for your money, or are they seeking your satisfaction as a customer? Is it about them, or is it about you? That is when a review is merited.I ordered two Nikon camera batteries from Sterling. I admit I was suspicious at the low price, precisely half the cost of the first retailer that popped up on my Internet search. But being frugal, I decided to order two. I figured if the batteries were garbage, I had only lost the cost of a single battery from another source, and lesson learned. The package arrived on time, but with only one of the batteries. The second battery was a different model and of no use to my Nikon. I tried the Amazon return policy but the link (for whatever reason) was a circular dead end. In exasperation, I wrote a harsh two-star review of Sterling.A few days later, I received a polite email inviting me to contact Sterling if anything was amiss. I jumped at the opportunity and explained what had occurred, including my attempt to use the Amazon return policy. They immediate responded with an apology and a promise to make the order good. In fact, they did better than send me the other battery. They sent me two batteries and a battery charger (both AC and 12 volt DC) as compensation. This arrived within three days of their email. That is what i call praiseworthy service. So, I conclude that the name Sterling refers to the character of the company, not just the quality of silver. You may shop from Sterling without hesitation. I don’t know how they make a profit from their low prices, but I reckon they do.

Just as good as the real thing from the OEM!
I decided on this battery over the OEM after reading the reviews on it. I haven't always been convinced on buying non-OEM batteries because they never really hold their charge as long as the real thing. But - not the case with this little guy! I've compared the OEM version that came with my Nikon D90 to this and they both worked for the same amount of time. The only thing its lacking is the little battery cover - but since my OEM one came with it I just slip that one on when this guy isn't in the camera. Not a big deal but would have been a nice addition. For this price - you can't beat it though! After spending a large sum on my camera and lenses - the last thing I wanted to spend more money on was extra batteries. I definitely recommend this battery.

Great battery, good value.
Confirmed that this battery works with the D50 which uses the EN-3LA. The EN-3LE is backwards compilable for older cameras. I really enjoy the 2600 mAh rating of this battery, my older one was only 1500mAh (3LA model). The battery charges perfectly fine in my Nikon charger. (My class mate has no such luck with his generic Cannon batteries). With any battery, only time will tell how reliable it is, however I did get 2 of these for less than the price of one official Nikon Battery. AND this one has a higher mAh rating than the Nikon version, which means more life per charge! No complaints so far, I would recommend to anyone looking for a replacement or spare battery.I highly recommend getting a spare for your camera, nothing is worse than showing up to a job and finding our your battery died because your camera was left on.
