This is a very very special pen... Think of it as being about twice as wide as your common rollerballs. Same as fountain pen maybe. Great, easy flow, a pleasure. So for things like writing a card to someone, this is the one! If you keep a journal you might use this for headers, for example. If you're a pen nerd no question you need to have this. As was mentioned Fude means "brush" in Japanese, so for different alphabets it might be ideal.

WOW just wow, finally a pen that is bold lined and easy to use. I just bought my second set. These were hard to find, but I am glad I did. I will definitely keep buying. Its so hard to find a pen that is not narrow of line and to find a pretty bold one like this is great. I prefer bold writing (except in a few situations) and for the most part no bleeding through. Definitely recommend if you like bold and decisive lines when writing.

Pens that are bold and glide across the paper aren't easy to find anymore, so I'm happy I gave this one a try. The ink is fluid, doesn't clog, and stands out. It can smear if you drag your hand across the paper while writing (I'm left handed and all pens smear for me) but it dries quickly, so I haven't found it to be much of an issue. I find myself constantly buying more of these because my employees love them, too and "conveniently" forget to give the pen back!

This is a very interesting pen. It is either a gel pen or rollerball and not a ballpoint as listed. It lays down a thick wet line of ink which varies in width depending on your stroke and pressure. It resembles writing with a brush. It is not good for writing notes on a standard lined paper; it will make the words hard to read well. But it is good for bold printing on note cards and maybe some artistic purposes. Frankly it is pretty cool if you like to experiment with writing.The more I use this, the more I like it. It is great for writing on cards and envelopes and looks like a brush.

New favorite pen! It is such a smooth, even distribution of ink, comfortable in the hand, right speed, perfect, and no variation in color of the ink. I love this pen so much I bought five more.
