Love at first slice...
I was having problems peeling the skin/shell off of my avocados'. I have a cheap paring knife. It's actually not bad at all. But the blade bent way too much. Was actually dangerous. I was thinking about what was the handiest knives I have. They all had small blades and small handles. But big enough handles to fit my hand and be handy. My Spyderco pocket knife is the absolute best pocket knife I have ever owned. I've owned fancier, and nicer pocket knives. But no where near better, as far a being a pocket knife. So I was looking at small paring knives. Some talked about the blade flexing, yadda yadda. I looked at this one.It ain't cheap. But it ain't real expensive either. I'd say with Spyderco, you get your money's worth. That's a whole lot of money's worth.I just received this. Gave it a try. It really is exceptional for paring. Works great with either over ripe, soft, avocados'. Or under ripe, hard avocados'. It is very handy in usage. I instantly fell in love with it. I could see doing much with it. Cuts accurately in soft or hard. I can take less avocado with the skin, because of this. It's very sharp. Blade flexes almost not at all. Which lends to accurate cuts and safety. Very nice. The blade is not 'thick' as one reviewer said. No way it's anywhere near even the 'ball park' as thick as my Spyderco pocket knife. But it is hard, and strong. I'd say not thicker than my other paring knife. But harder steel. I love the small length of the blade. It's a paring knife. Not a sword. I love the curve of the blade. Just looking at it, one would think the edge is on the opposite side of the blade. It's on the side that works best as a paring knife. This is a very handy, useful knife. I admit the handle, at first impression, isn't as handy as my Spyderco pocket knife. Maybe I just need to learn to use a real paring knife? What can I say? It's love at first use. I should probably look at other Spyderco knives for my kitchen.

Must Have Paring Knife
Again Spyderco did not disappoint! This Mini Paring Knife is the 3rd Spyderco knife I have bought, the quality keeps me coming back for more! This small compact knife is razor sharp and perfect for fruits and vegetables. I am able to cut perfect slices of tomatoes every time! The blade never seems to go dull, I use this knife daily and it is still as sharp months later as it was on day one. Spyderco has excellent products, it is well worth the price! I bought this knife as a present for my mom and she has also order more since I have gave her this one. You will be amazed with the quality of the knife.

Do not buy this
This is an expensive little paring knife that had rust spots on the blade within two days of receiving and using. Not stainless steel obviously, and dulled immediately. Not happy!!!!!
