They do what they're supposed to - but they're a temporary fix.
My son has a pretty severe "Bauer Bump" from his hockey skates. We purchased a few of these to protect his heal. They helped to reduce the pressure, and we saw some improvements. However, within a few weeks they started to fall out of place because the glue had failed. If you're dealing with the Bauer Bump we replaced these with "Bunga Pad" socks as a permanent solution. They're more expensive, but they are designed to last.

great for blisters
i used to get blisters every week from heel rubbing but now i’m good to go. Only wish it was slightly larger and sadly adhesive only lasts 1 game. but a little duct tape and i’m a happy camper
