Savoir-Faire Sennelier Soft Pastels Half Stick Set 30/Pkg-Landscape

The softness and pigment of these pastels are wonderful!

Such beautiful colors, such a buttery feel! I usually prefer half sticks as they're easier to hold and manipulate. These are very soft pastels that I typically use for my final layers when I really want some color or highlight to pop. They can crumble fairly easily, so take care not to press too hard. The variety of colors is pretty good for landscapes, although I wish there were some more violet and purple options. Would definitely buy again!

Sent them to my brother who is an artist who has ventured into pastel a couple years ago from watercolor and oils. I was worried they might be too soft, too hard, to small, etc. He absolutely loves them. The size, the colors, the quality. I'll get him more at Christmas.

I love Sennelier soft Pastels. The colors are rich, and the texture is buttery. The half sticks are nice because it offers a greater range of colors to chose from at a lower price.

These are the first higher quality soft pastels I purchased. They are smooth and creamy and don't seem to be breaking or chipping as I was warned they would. The colors are lovely but the price was actually a little steep. I would purchase again to augment my growing collection of archival pastels.

This set of landscape pastels was assembled with a surprisingly great deal of knowledge when considering color theory and values. Sennelier has almost done much of the hard work of selecting a great collection for you to grab and go into the field and start creating art! It doesn't have every color you'll need, but you'll want to try this set for those 8 or 10 sticks you'll use from here on out (though you'll have to buy more of them of course).

Great color range, I have taken these out painting several times. The box travels well I just wish it had a lid instead of having to deal with box flaps and sliding the tray in and out. But the pastels are what you would expect from Sennelier, wonderfully soft for those painterly upper layers. The range is very versatile but if you need a purple (who doesn't?) you'll have to bring it separately.

I finally decided to buy more expensive pastels, I am still learning. These are so nice to work with, I really like them. I did some research to decide what to buy, these were in the middle price range.

I found these a good selection of colours for landscape. They are rich in pigment and soft but not brittle. they look good enough to eat.
