This is delicious! I had it as a latte with whole milk and no sweetener. It's roasty and leaves a lingering chocolate note on your tongue.

Just what I needed! They don't sell hojicha powder in stores around me so I'm glad amazon sells this quality powder. Good aroma and quality for the price.

I've long like matcha drinks - particularly the American style where you prepare it in milk or add mild or cream. I simply love the "grassy" aroma, and, frankly, I feel a bit crappy after drinking coffee. This for me is a great coffee replacement. Hojicha - which is roasted matcho, but includes more of the plant - for me has an even better grassy aroma than regular green macha - and yet is quite a bit less expensive. I am very happy to have found this particular brand, and I will be ordering again.

The product is good, but wish the taste/aroma is bit bolder. It's better than other hojicha pwders that I have tried.

Others mentioned a burnt taste, but hojicha is a roasted tea, unless they had a different batch.I recently tried a hojicha latte, but at $8.99 and with the tipping culture being a bit out of control these days, I decided to try two different brands.Of the two, I prefer this one.I add milk and brown sugar, and it tastes pretty good.

veryyyy burnt tasting. i had to add a lot of sugar to it to help the flavour. definitely won’t be using this for anymore lattes, might use for baking. just spend the extra $$$ on rocky’s.

I have tried this brands Kagoshima matcha and it’s really good, so I thought I would give the hojicha a shot. Flavor wise, it tasted fine, it has a slight roasted taste to it with a little bit of chocolatey-nutty taste. Kind of similar to oolong tea. Great color and you do get a lot for what you pay for. However, it’s hard to recommend to others as it’s just so grainy. I feel like I’m drinking fine powder incorporated in my drink. Disappointed at the texture, and it’s un-returnable.

I originally bought this hojicha powder to use for baking or making asian-flavored desserts, but actually ended up using the bulk of it making a lot of hojicha lattes, because they just taste amazing! As someone who does not drink coffee & only drinks tea, hojicha is the nice roasted, lower-caffeine alternative to the bright/bitter, highly caffeinated matcha. I feel like this powder is definitely high quality - it hardly has any clumps and it has kept its freshness pretty well in the bag it comes in.Once I need a refill on hojicha, I would definitely go with this particular brand of hojicha powder again!
