Lateral thinking use
Needed to automate an in-eaves toilet cistern remotely in a home automation project. This item is an elegant and robust solution to the problem of actuating flush mechanism.

They work but not quite right for my use
I purchased these as a test for keeping drawers closed/locked in a motorhome.Although they seem to work, they don't work how I had hoped as they seem to return back to their mid position after each open/close when the power is switched off. If the power is kept connected then they seem to stay in either the fully open position or the fully closed position but when the power is cut they return back to the mid-position. I assume they would burn out quickly if the power is kept on so no good for my use.
