Bedz King Tall Stairway Bunk Beds Twin over Twin with 4 Drawers in the Steps and a Twin Trundle, Gray

2021 I am revising my review of this bunk bed w/trundle. I purchased it in 2019 for my then 4 yr old son’s room that would be sturdy, tough and this furniture delivered. This bed will also by used by his 2 older brothers, 10 & 11 1/2yrs old, to sleep on when we have out of town guests visit (all of our family live out of state and on the east coast and we’re on the west coast). After a year & 1/2 this bed has been amazing. The wood is a great color and the storage under the stairs is very large and hides lots of toys. Plus the side where the stairs are have more cubbies that my son loves to put toys on. What I found worked well for was purchasing on Amazon the “best price mattress 6” memory foam mattress (2) for the upper bunk and trundle $99 each. Then get the “ultra plush pillow top rayon w/bamboo cover for $49.99. As an adult this was so comfy to sleep on way better then a pull out couch!

This bed is absolutely amazing! I was nervous to buy something like this online without seeing it in person but I couldn't find anything like it locally so decided to take a chance. It's incredibly sturdy and solid, with absolutely no wobble like some bunk beds have. There is not one single part that seems flimsy in any way...the drawers, shelves...everything is very high quality. The wood is finished beautifully and overall I can just tell that it's an item that is really going to last a long time. I'm also very happy that we decided to go with the taller, 4 step model as opposed to the 3 step version that is available. I think if it was shorter, the bottom bunk would not have enough clearance to really be comfortable. The only downside to this bed is the time it took to put it together. A friend who is a carpenter offered to come help set it up...well, myself, my wife, the carpenter and his wife all spent just over 4 hours assembling this thing. It was a lot of work. Worth it though! Our kids love it.

I ordered this bed for my 2 year old son and 5 year old daughter as we transitioned them to the same room to make space for little sibling. It took me alone a little less than a full day to build. Directions were clear and concise and all pieces were labeled to assist in identification. The bed has wonderful room in the stairs for storage and is extremely, sturdy especially for the money. All solid wood - none of that pressed board crap. for reference my 200 pound husband climbed in to read the kids bedtime books tonight and not a creak to be heard. My only complaint would be that they don't paint the screws white. I don't like how the gold sticks out so much against the white wood. Simple fix as i just painted over them myself, but obviously another step that not everyone has the time or energy for after building a bunk bed. All in all I would definitely recommend this bed to someone.

This is a beautiful bed and very sturdy. I wouldn't say it's "easy" to assemble, as it takes time, but it's not hard. Definitely read the instructions. I love the drawers and cubbies. I think it was a good price.

I was a little hesitant when order. My first order was delivered and I didn’t receive all pieces 3 out of 5 boxes. I contact Amazon and they refunded my money and I place a second order.This bed is well made, sturdy. Took a bit long to set up but was well worth it. My kids love their new bed.

Took some time to put together but it looks great and the kids love it. Very sturdy and came with all the parts with no modifications needed.

So this thing is literally 300 pieces you have to put together. The instructions are not well written. Be prepared for several days of construction not to mention the off gas fumes will last for a month. We had to open all the windows and doors in the kids room to let it air out they couldn’t sleep in there.

The good: The bed was easy, and intuitive to assemble. The beds look very nice and is identical to what is pictured. The beds can also be set up separately in case your kids are still too small to have the higher bunk set up yet. Finally Quality Bunk Beds, our vendor, was quick to answer our questions and the product was received in great Condition.The Bad: The weight limit might be a deal breaker (175 top, 200 bottom). This means any story time cannot be held in bed, because I'm sure most parents and child will pass that weight threshold. It evens begs the question how long these beds will be good for and/or safe for, especially for sleepovers. Finally when the beds are stacked the only thing that keeps them in place on top of each other is 4 1/2 inch wooden dowels. I would like to have seen a couple external braces of some sort.Never less they seem sturdy and look great. I just wish the weight limit and external braces were present for the bunking feature.Update:I put together the stairway this weekend, because I used the beds separately until I could trust my kids not to fall off the top bunk. The stairs seem sturdy and I really like the drawers, very deep and have a lot of space to them.On a very disappointing note: One of my drawers came split and I had to contact BedzKing to get a replacement. They quoted me a price for the "part and shipping." I asked if I could get the drawer free since that is the way it came, and they offered to send me for the price of "shipping only." I was glad, because I was out of the warranty period, thought they were still standing behind their product. Well the "shipping price" was the same exact price as the "part and shipping price." I'm out of warranty, but but do not offer me something and them just come back with the original quote and call it all shipping. Talked to a couple different people and they sent me a screen shot of a custom shipping quote, makes me question if the company is reputable.
