Great packaging, price is outstanding!
My dogs eat grain-free foods and cans of "grain free" wet dog food are $3-5 a can. To save (a lot of) money, I started feeding them StarKist tuna in water and they would pick at the food with little excitement; Then I tried StarKist tuna in vegetable oil and the dogs love it. The cats dig their faces into it while I am making the food and the dogs finish their portion in less than three minutes. The oil is good for their coats and fish is the least likely dog food to cause stomach illness or allergic reactions. (Beef=worst, Chicken=medium, Fish=best)Even still, my roommates keep stealing cans and love the flavor as well. I don't get mad and I'm glad they enjoy it too. At this price, I am ecstatic that it gets used so much and don't mind if a few cans a week go to human consumption. I always used to get this product at Sam's Club because that is the only place that I ever saw it, but since the lock down, Sam's stopped carrying it and the price here on Amazon is superior. Using ~20 cans a week, I am glad to have a better price and a reliable supplier.I have ordered three cases so far and will soon buy more. This is a great deal on a fantastic product.

It is the oil.
If you plan on acquiring extra stock (you are a "prepper" or just want to always have canned tuna fish on hand), get the oil packed tuna. The oil, whether it be EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) or vegetable oil, is an essential aid to preserving flavor and quality. It is becoming more difficult to find because the general populace has been led to believe that oil packed anything is bad for you. Not so.

These were much better than the local store brand!
I was doubtful about ordering these due to the reviewers who claimed these were like mush because that's how the local store brand is, but the order I rec'd hasn't had one bad can so far (about 12 cans in to the 48)The meat was actual pieces vs the mush of the local store brand. These cans weren't mostly added oil like the local store brand (can't even get 2 sandwiches out of those!)The price, when it drops to .50 a can, is cheaper than the local store brand (which is why I finally decided to buy)I will definitely continue buying this although having so much on hand tempts me to eat it twice a week instead of the recommended no more than once a week.

Juicy
Yeah, tuna in oil and affordable. Usually I only see the water-version on sale. Oil just complements the fish and the amount to fish/oil is appropriate. Very good!

Tuna in oil..Yum
This is a great value for the amount of tuna cans you get. Tuna is good for the eyes, helps vision, so I try to eat Tuna a few times a week , if not daily..

Cheap, and not the best tuna, but fine as an emergency food
This is one of the cheaper canned tuna products I've seen. It's generally OK, with a few drawbacks. It's light tuna, so it should have 1/3 as much mercury as regular (white, albacore, bigeye) tuna. It's in oil. It can get messy. It has a few bones. Maybe one per can.The package I got has a shelf life of 3-4 years. My cats don't like Starkist as much as other brands.

I use this as an occasional treat for dogs.
My prior comment paints a very poor picture in your mind but here’s the good- Over last ten years, tuna in oil is more difficult to find. It has also gone way up in price.. Not so if you buy 48 cans 😂😂… and this brand has a good reputation, so -🤷🏼♀️ They like it- I stick to the dryer version in water…

Ordered 48, got 48
Disappointed because I thought that I only received half my order. Actually, turns out I was wrong, I cannot count apparently. They are all there and they are a great product. Love this with tuna melts, salads, and casseroles.
