Montana Self Centering drill bits
I must say these work great for hinges and any other pilot holes when you want the pilot hole perfectly centered. I even used it to center holes at each end of a slot to hang my speed squares on a French Cleat wall.

Nice USA made product
My order arrived very quickly, even though I live on the tip of Africa. Item was exactly as described, appears well made and does what I need it to do. This won't be used in a production environment so I expect it to last for many years.

Excellent Tool for Predrilling Holes and Inserting Screws
I found this to be the best tool buy I have made in quite some time. It worked perfectly. I read some of the negative reviews and found none of the flaws in the tool I received. Being able to switch from predrilling the hole to inserting the screw with the same tool so easy and convenient. Again, excellent tool.

minor flaw
The drill bits kept falling out and there was no supplied allen wrench to repair them.

Drill bit loosens and comes out
I had the same issue as another reviewer. Took me awhile to figure out what was going on (see photo). The flat part of the drill shank doesn't sit under the set screw. This lets the drill twist and then loosen. If they changed the profile of the shank or let the drill sit further into the body, the set screw could clamp on the flat part of the shank. Being that the body is a soft metal and the set screw hardened, I'm leery of over-tightening and stripping it. I love the design as it's very easy to drill the pilot then flip the bit and drive the screw with one hand. But having to get the bit out of the wood and re-tighten the set screw slows me down.

This fixes the problem
This ensure you get the hole in the center of the screw hole of the hinge. A MUST HAVE.
