It's more than a little pricey...But man I love it! No obvious flaws noticed. Seems to be well made. The lining is thinner than I expected, but the jacket warmed me up quick. Was worried because I saw a review saying it wasn't waxed, or not waxed well. Mine is thoroughly coated. Did a drip test and water beaded nicely. The color is beautiful and it is overall just a sharp jacket. Wish it was $100-$150 cheaper, and it was a spur of the moment decision, but it's definitely a keeper.I included photos to demonstrate the fit. I am 6'3" and 185lbs. Chest size is between 39-40". I wanted it to fit snug so I went with a medium-tall. It fits exactly as I wanted it to. Again, this is a snug fit that I was looking for. The sizing guide I used seems to be accurate. Get a tape measure and follow the guide provided.

I have been wanting a waxed cloth jacket for a while now. I finally decided on this one, and it’s perfect. It has just the right rugged, lived-in look, and it just gets better each time I wear it. The quality of the jacket is obvious as soon as you take it out of the box. Very comfortable to wear, perfect fit, perfect look, perfect feel, just perfect! It’s my new favorite go-to jacket.

Absolutely nothing to dislike. The quality is top notch, the feel and performance of the fabric, the seams, the cut and drape are all spot on. Before I ordered I was a bit confused by other reviews as to the correct size to order. I am 5'9" 185, workout and athletic build. That being said I followed Flint and Tinder's size/fit guide taking body measurements and ordered a large. I couldn't be happier with the fit. The jacket looks great over just a T-shirt, and yet I also frequently wear a hoodie as well and it is not too tight or restrictive. I am able to button the front up without it looking weird. I have been out in the rain with it and the water just runs off. Lastly it seems to be a very rugged piece of gear. I work as a trucker and look for versatile clothing that I can work in that looks great and performs as expected. This jacket does exactly that. Highly recommend!!

I ordered this as a gift for my brother in law who is 6’ 4”. The length was perfect, something that is hard to find. But, he is average build, not overweight, and he still couldn’t close the jacket. The advertise that it is for the average guy who works outside but seems to be for slender people. He loved the wax textured nature of the jacket but disappointed it couldn’t close. Great looking quality jacket but they need to provide more options for the cut.

After reading many reviews, and checking all the information about sizing i could find, i decided to order the XL tall, and The fit is perfect.I'm 6.2/1.88 m tall, and weigh around 230lb/105kg at the moment. My build is athletic with a bit of extra padding on top. I have a longer torso and arms and I'm not really a fan of shorter sleeves and wanted the jacket to be as long as my t-shirt was. The tall sizing fit the bill, and fit exactly as i wanted it to.The jacket itself feels great, a bit tight under the arms, but not to bad. so if you're thinking of working with it, take that into consideration. But all the other jackets i saw were a lot pricier than this one, and i dont think its going to bother me to much. Over all very pleased.

I’m 6’3 with a slightly longer torso with broad shoulders, and a size 3XLT fits me perfectly!

Great jacket, I’ve had my eye on one for a while. I’m 5’10”, 205lbs, I wear a size medium in a similarly styled jacket from LL Bean. Ordered a L after reading the reviews, it was tight in the shoulders and chest and wouldn’t have fit a layer underneath. Exchanged for an XL and it’s great.

I was thrilled to find this jacket, but I’m disappointed. I haven’t owned a jacket in 15 years, despite living in an area with snow and cold temperatures.I read reviews and examined the jacket, deciding to buy two: one for work and one for casual outings. Both jackets were delayed by UPS due to shipping schedules.While browsing online, I noticed that Filston jackets, though expensive, have 14 oz waxed jackets, which are considered heavy enough for outdoor work and durable. However, the Flint and Tinder Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket I found is rated at 7 oz, which is thinner than my Levi’s jeans (rated at 12.5 oz).Realizing I paid almost $300 for a jacket that’s thinner than my jeans, I’m not opening it when it arrives today. I’ll simply return it.
