I was always sceptical about things like this but after training for London marathon this stuff is worth it’s weight in gold. Helps with niggles and aches and more importantly recovery.

Not only for sports' related aches and pains...
It may be a mistake to market this squarely with a sports' audience in mind as of course non-active people can experience muscle and joint pain. Puresport balm contains CBD as an active ingredient along with a range of naturals - witch-hazel, lemongrass, lavender, wintergreen, peppermint and shea butter. The shea butter here is very hydrating and taken as a whole the ingredients actually smell attractive - herbal with a menthol undertone. The balm is easy to apply and absorbs well. The packaging is attractive and the 50ml of balm is in a screw topped amber glass pot. That said, though the box I received was sealed the paper strip across the lid and body of the glass jar was strangely broken. One of the pics in the listing shows a branded white plastic spatula being used to remove the balm from the pot, suggesting this applicator tool is included. But certainly in the pack I received - that's Best Before the end of October 2025 - this was absent. I don't know whether it ought to be included or not. This balm, made in the Czech Republic, can be applied up to 3 times a day. The product seems good. The price, though it seems steep, is at present cheaper than purchasing direct from Puresport. Either way, this balm is effective at soothing muscular and joint discomfort - and it's pleasant to use. 4 stars from me.

Expensive but amazing
I bought this a while ago after suffering with two slipped discs in my back and can honestly say this balm was game changing in helping bring about relief from the nerve pains and muscle aches I experienced.I just came to find it today and was suprised by how expensive it is and don’t recall paying that much around a year ago but maybe I did! Also to note we only just run out and its used fairly frequently! A little goes a long way!!

Could be easier to apply and more effective
While I'd been hearing lots about the benefits of CBD products for a long time, I'd never had the chance to actually check them out myself. With muscles sore after a workout I though it'd be a great time to change that.Application of the balm is more difficult that it potentially could be - the balm is quite stiff in nature which makes it a little difficult to move around and this is made worse by the small hole in the top of the pot making it difficult to access. The smell is difficult to describe - it is quite strong and generated mixed feelings with people I asked. In terms of effectiveness, it wasn't in my experience as good as my usual go to balm product - both in terms of strength of pain relief or how long it lasted.Overall then this product was a little bit of a disappointment - while it did have some effect, I wasn't sold on the benefits or how easy it was to apply.

pleasant to use
I've been using it 3 times a day for 3 days now.Ingredients and instructions labels on the jar is REALLY small, I had to take a photo and zoom in to read them properly, despite there being plenty of space on the label to make it larger. I am not a big fan of products that don't have clear labelling.Says there is 1000mg of CBD but CBD is way down the list of ingredients so not sure if that amount is accurate. the warning says not to exceed 70mg CBD per day so I assume thats why it says to use maximum of 3 times per day but the larger the area you apply it on then the more you'll use each application so I'm not sure how you figure out when you've used 70mg. And it says 'small amount'...not sure how much that is.If a specific amount needs to be used for safety then an applicator would have been useful. There is a gentle warmth when using but much less than other balms I have used and I didn't notice any significant pain relief when compared to my usual non-CBD product. It doesn't leave a greasy or sticky residue on skin and has a nice 'warm' aroma, similar to tiger balm. Wash your hands after though, while skin wasn't greasy/sticky it does leave a water resistant barrier so need to wash off your hands with soap and water but does mean that it's probably sweat resistant which is a plus.£34.53 at time of ordering. For me it's far too expensive and more of a CBD gimmick than an actual pain relief/recovery product.I have had much better results for more budget friendly options. If CBD works for you and you're willing to pay then it's worth a try but for me it's just not worth it.

Some Relief But Greasy & The Smell Is Not Pleasant
First of all I am going to mention that my 'pot' of balm seal was already opened on delivery.I was not going to use it, but when I looked inside it did look untouched.I suffer really bad lower back pain, and nothing usually eases the pain apart from prescription medication.I decided to try this on my back.I first noticed it was very greasy, and then the smell I can say was not pleasant. It smells like a citronella candle. To say I wasn't happy with the broken seal, the excessive grease and the unpleasant smell, this actually brought me some relief for a few hours to be perfectly fair.I wasn't in a particular positive mindset for this to work at first with all the negatives, so highly doubt that it had a 'placebo' effect. This did bring me some relief, but you have to weigh up whether the pain is bad enough to rub this greasy unpleasant smelling balm on you, or put up with the pain.My pain is crippling sometimes, and I've chosen to re-use this balm as the positive effects outweigh the negatives.
