Another excellent expose' on Obsessive & Compulsive Struggles
The OCD Healing Journey; is another great book by the Author, Mark DeJesus. After decades of my own struggles with rejection, anxiety and OCD - with no idea what it was; I found Mark's u tube channel after a prayer to God in my desperation a few years ago. Since then, I have been blessed with a deeper understanding of the root causes of OCD, which often pairs up with other mental & emotional health disorders. Mark's own deep struggles with OCD and his experiences are an invaluable help to people like myself, bringing encouragement, as well as specific understanding and clarification of these issues with the over-arching principles of God's love, mercy and grace, that are at risk of being over-looked in our busy lives, and even in the church. I believe the Lord is using Mark & Melissa's ministry to help many like myself to overcome, & I thank the Lord Jesus for that.

Helpful
Mark is a gifted communicator and warm, knowledgeable, loving pastor. I have found this and his podcast helpful in identifying areas previously unknown to me where OCD was affecting my life & relationship with God, as well as gentle, grace focused ways to respond to what our brains may throw at us.Half the battle is even being able to identify the areas of our life affected by this ailment. Once one can identify their battlegrounds, we can bring it to Christ, who is our life, and rely on His strength and grace. His power truly is made perfect in our weakness. OCD is toxic and must be treated by identifying how our thinking is not in line with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Once you are on the firm foundation of trusting in Christ alone, crucified and raised for us, we can build thereon. We may deal with this ailment for the rest of our lives, but may our Lord teach us to rely on him and to renew our minds in the truth of His word.Another helpful resource is “Spiritual Depression” by Dr. Marin Lloyd Jones

Words cannot describe the appreciation for Mark DeJesus ministry!
I have known I had OCD about my faith since 6th grade. I finally cried for help in 12th grade and was brought to a secular psychologist who asked me why I even believe in “God”. I knew I was then on this journey alone and nobody understood. Came across Mark DeJesus just a few months ago (at 32 yrs old) on YouTube and then found this book. After him explaining how I have an issue that is distorting my view of God, and learning ways to overcome, the view I now have of our loving Savior is like I’ve never experienced. He is a God of unfathomable grace, love and mercy. The veil was torn and my hope is off my obsessions and compulsions of checking on “my” faith and “my” surrender and now on my glorious Lord. Thank you Mark! 10/10 recommend from one of God’s redeemed to another. Please do yourself and buy this book and live the life of freedom.
