and it works great! It came two days after I ordered it
I bought this battery for my NikonD80 on November 11th, and it works great! It came two days after I ordered it; which was very exciting. I haven't used my camera in a number of years, and so the batteries I owned previously had lost their charge and ability to hold a charge. I've been playing with my camera a lot since I got the battery in-turning it on, off, taking a bunch of photos, turning off and on again- and I have only had to charge the battery once, and this was because I accidentally left the camera on overnight. So overall; great battery, holds charge for a long time, and a great price! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for this type of battery.

Better than original!
I kid you not, I have done a 9 hour VIDEO (not photo!) shoot with this thing on my Nikon D90 and I still had power left at the end of the day. When I say a video shoot, of course I do not mean a consistent 9 hours of video recording, but you get the picture. Turning the camera on and off, having the display on all the time (it's a must with D90 while shooting video, eg. that's what drains the battery the most). The battery performed wonderfully. By that said, I have only used it once and charged it once, but I can tell you right now that it definitely outperforms the original that came with my camera. Buy two of these if you go for a vacation and you might not need a charger at all (still take it though :) It was shipped fast as well as I live in Maryland and the company is based in Virginia.

So far so good
The batteries came in a reasonable amount of time. So far they seem to have the same lifespan as my Nikon brand batteries. There was a strange glitch where my camera said I only had 19% batter left (D90) when I had not used the battery much, but maybe I had left it on "live view". A few mintues later I turned the camera on and it sad I had over %75 left, then the next time I turned the camera on I got ERR in the top LED. So I took out the battery and put it back in and all was good again. The temperature was below freezing at the time. These might be very good batteries but there is no way to tell for sure at this point. I will revise this review after I have given these a good long term test. I deducted one star for the strange glitch, but it may have been the fault of my camera and not the battery.. time will tell.

Praiseworthy service
When a company performs as advertised and delivers your product as described and on time, it deserves a five-star rating, but it does not really deserve a review. Companies are supposed to do what they promise. We don’t want to cheapen commercial life by praising duty. But then comes the crunch—and we have all experienced it at one time or another. Someone blew it. You received the wrong item, or part of the order was missing, or it didn’t work, or (fill in the blank with your own complaint). That is when you learn the character of the company. Are they just out for your money, or are they seeking your satisfaction as a customer? Is it about them, or is it about you? That is when a review is merited.I ordered two Nikon camera batteries from Sterling. I admit I was suspicious at the low price, precisely half the cost of the first retailer that popped up on my Internet search. But being frugal, I decided to order two. I figured if the batteries were garbage, I had only lost the cost of a single battery from another source, and lesson learned. The package arrived on time, but with only one of the batteries. The second battery was a different model and of no use to my Nikon. I tried the Amazon return policy but the link (for whatever reason) was a circular dead end. In exasperation, I wrote a harsh two-star review of Sterling.A few days later, I received a polite email inviting me to contact Sterling if anything was amiss. I jumped at the opportunity and explained what had occurred, including my attempt to use the Amazon return policy. They immediate responded with an apology and a promise to make the order good. In fact, they did better than send me the other battery. They sent me two batteries and a battery charger (both AC and 12 volt DC) as compensation. This arrived within three days of their email. That is what i call praiseworthy service. So, I conclude that the name Sterling refers to the character of the company, not just the quality of silver. You may shop from Sterling without hesitation. I don’t know how they make a profit from their low prices, but I reckon they do.
