Not a speech therapy book;
It's not a speech therapy book as the name implies. It's a book about getting kids to talk earlier, how they pick up on speech cues as a newborn, games to play with your baby and toddler to develop speech earlier; but it offers nothing for articulation, lisps, etc. Pretty lame book: should be called - get your kid to talk by age 3 months. I bought it to help my 4 yr old with his speech therapy needs, had to return the book. Was not helpful at all for our needs.

parents, don't panic! buy this book and read it
my wife often panics when something "seems wrong" with our toddler, whether it involves food preference, lack of appetite, or a delay in talking. I got this book for my wife to lessen her worry. speech therapy through games and activities with the toddler in order to coax the talking out of our child. the main point is do not panic when your child seems delayed with talking. at the later chapters of the book, it reviews when a professional speech therapist is needed. get this book to reassure yourselves that your child will eventually talk or when to call in a specialist.
